Since when can you stop & rewind on Sirius XM ???

Hi all,

I was listening to Sirius XM yesterday afternoon. I usually listen to one of the oldies stations (50's through 80's), and I noticed that you could stop or rewind the song you are listening to. I never noticed it before. It's not on all channels--only some. Is this something new, or has it always been like that ??? Also, I got a notice of an update when I got home---It was for the radio---It was scheduled for later last night, so the stop & rewind had nothing to do with that---It was something to do with Apple CarPlay---Which I don't use.

If I recall correctly, that's been a feature for quite some time, at least in reference to Sirius XM in general. My 2012 CTS-V with Sirius XM Radio has that capability, so at least from 2012, and I imagine some years prior as well.

They definitely made a change since I got this truck a year ago bc I notice now almost every time I change a station I catch a song at the beginning but if I change again and go back immediately itll be halfway through or sometimes almost over. Makes sense they’ll let you rewind now too I’ll have to try next time I’m out

I just drove my truck again today and now all of my preset channels have stop-rewind-forward, including news and talk stations.

I do not have it on the presets. I have to go to a different screen. That’s nice. 25/26 screen?

Since at least 2020, when I bought my ‘20 and it was the first car with Sirius I ever had.

My previous vehicle was a 2019 Mazda CX-9 GT and the Sirius XM tuner allowed you to rewind back to the beginning of a song or talk radio program segment and to pause. My '25 ST rewind feature doesn't work that consistently and sometimes will only go back a short bit but not to the beginning of the song. As 'Wohop' notes above, as I skip through the presets it seems you always pick up a song at the beginning but if you go back to it a second later it's already halfway through. Anyway, it's better than listening to static laden AM radio or 8-tracks.
