So I had a Ford body shop do the roof rail delete kit when it was in for warranty paint work and there was an issue with the passenger side fitment towards the front. The drivers side fits good. Chance the delete molding itself could be defective? They are ordering a new one to try but if the fitment is the same they said there’s nothing else they can do because there’s really no side to side adjustments. Anyone else have an issue like this? Seems like the delete molding would attach where it attaches on the car and that’s it.

Could still be defective, it’s a big molded plastic piece.

Here’s a side by side with and without the rail.

That doesn’t look much different then mine, as long as it’s flush then I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Yeah most likely it. Shop wanted to try a new part to make sure. I guess the drivers side doesn’t have a big gap so it looks weird

The cap on the end looks like shit, or is that just an optical illusion?

It snaps onto a retainer. The retainer is what bolts to the car up there so have them make sure that’s straight and if so…just like I said on Facebook days ago…that’s why heat guns exist.
