ROOF No rails or Delete Parts

Just a thought. Has anyone just removed the roof rails (including the delete parts ) and just filled in the holes and touched up with paint?
How would it look, clean?
Would save some bucks on parts too.

Yeah, watch a few vids on the rail delete and you'll see that without the filler trim it looks quote horrible.

Yeah now I see that. Still looking to find these delete pieces. I called about 50 (Fact) salvage yards around the Northeast for the trim. IF I found a yard that even has this body style years, it would only have with rails. PD Interceptors were only sold as one at auctions.

Some people have done it on their base Explorers, and it looked really bad.

Some 6th Gen years had the rails as an option so there are plenty of non-PIU cars on the road without rails.

Still just a slight chance coming across a "totaled" 6 gen in a junkyard. Or even someone changing their minds on a 6th gen for a swap. Might just bite the 600 and order from dealer
