I had a long chat with the Ford people regarding an upgrade to the 2025 ST Model and Bluecruise. The short version is as follows, and I quote.

"I completely understand your concern. At this time, Ford has not announced any plans or confirmed future updates for the 2025 ST models. What we can share is simply that there is no official information available yet regarding future upgrades."

As was then explained to me, any future upgrades, including the currently available 1.5 version, require different hardware that is not on the 2025 models, simply put, we are all out of luck.

I've only used it once, but it was about 75 miles on I-20/59 in north Miss and Alabama. It worked fine. I set it at 80, and use the blinker to auto-change lanes. What else does it need to do, or is it missing? I use the adaptive stop and go cruise daily on my way home, due to crappy traffic, and it works great too. For about 12 miles, I never touch the brake or gas.

The 2026s got an updated version, but there was no plans for them to bring the updated version to the 2025s via a update. Ford wont bring it to the 2025s because they have to have some selling point for the new 2026s I would think.

I guess I still don’t understand what else it does? I went into this thinking it didn’t do self lane change but it does which is was gladly surprised it. I mean I guess it doesn’t turn the blinker itself, but once you bump it it keeps the blinker on until it finishes the change. And it drives very well.

I love the adaptive for traffic also. I use eco and it makes it much less jerky

It really works well. It keeps me sane in daily traffic. My 2019 edge wasn’t near as smooth braking and following. This thing is great.
