Pre accident my 20 EXST was mint, full records since pre-order, prior to my purchase, new transmission, all recalls, and new tires put on. Literal long term dream spec for a 2020 EXST with zero issues.
a 2 weeks into ownership i got rearended by someone on their phone at what is assumed 70+ mph early am after light snow over night , 3 car accident, middle car was completely crushed totalled, they refused to total my suv out but the entire subframe had to be cut and welded along with plenty of other things totaling $29k
Dealership i bought the vehicle from was selected as the repair shop as they were a verified repair vendor for the at fault parties and my insurance.
I made sure to take a ton of pictures and a lot of detailed notes regarding issues post inspection for repair.
3 months later I get my vehicle back and now the passenger rear window / rear most passenger pillar is allowing free flowing water into the cabin anytime it rains or the vehicle is washed. legitimate pool of water in the cabin. I noticed a strong mold smell which lead to the discovery of the leak which also made the electrical issues i had make more sense as they only started AFTER the vehicle was repaired.
The dealer finally takes the suv back to inspect and the slimy shop convinced my insurance it was a factory defect yet the issue only came about AFTER their accident repair, My insurance was used as coverage for the "factory defect repair" without my knowledge when i explicitly stated to let me know prior to repair.
now, the same exact leak they repaired for a third time is once again leaking and causing electrical issues with the coveted mold smell from the water pooling inside.
Personally, I have not seen any TSB's for a rear passenger window / pillar defect allowing water to enter the cabin freely, has anyone else had this water leak issue?
