Passenger door corrosion - any luck with dealers?

I have a terrible strip of surface rust that appeared under a bunch of bubbling, that I did NOT catch when I bought this 22 ST in July of last year.

I know Ford has an 8-year corrosion guarantee but that perforation has to be present. This doesn't make sense to me - why not cover it BEFORE that happens?

Anyone had luck with Ford or Ford Corporate having this addressed? View attachment IMG_5331.jpeg

That looks like a paint defect that has turned into rust.

Also, I was just in Buffalo for St Patty's Day in the southside. Nearly every vehicle is rusting, I don't miss living there

I despise this state, for many reasons, but the weather this year is definitely one of them. This winter has absolutely DESTROYED our roads, with no real repairs made because we're all broke here. You have to dodge pot holes like its your job.

Definitely a paint defect and others have complained. I'm taking this in for a rear differential recall that was done incorrectly (see my other post) and am going to see what they say about this as well.
