P0455 Code large leake

Hows it going fellas, have a 21 with about 37k miles. Engine light came on and also got the message on the ford pass app that an emissions issue is wrong with the car.

I ran the code and got a P0456 and P0455 code, replaced the purge valve with an autozone one. Few weeks later code came back up but now every few starts it has a rough idle and then appears to struggle and the stalls. ill get a “manual restart” message on the screen.

Anyone had an issue like this before?

I would like to know as well. I was told to check the capless gas flap as well. Make sure it's sealed. But I too am getting the same code. I figure it was from my aftermarket intake. Keep me posted if you find anything as well, please. Thanks

This is something that happens a lor with auto store purge valves, fixes for a while then fails within a few weeks. Get the ford part, and it will probably go away.

IF it doesn't, just let it be known that on my last ST, the dealer changed my entire emissions related system to the tune of 5K... they performed a smoke test and found it was leaking everywhere.

I had the same issue, replaced it with the autozone version... in the process of installing it I snapped one of the sensor connections on the intake tube.
Although the original code CEL code didn't come back, I now have a different one...

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but when searching for the OEM part I found these 2 parts:

The 2nd one looks exact to the autozone one, but listed as a fuel tube support bracket line. Certainly a head scratcher for me as I'm thinking of replacing mine again with the OEM one.

The second one is what you want. The first one is for the rear near the fuel tank. While the autozone, dorman, etc. look the same,they're not. While they're all going to fail eventually (this is a VERY common problem)... the OEM seems to last the longest. Remember, don't top off your fuel tank, and don't fill your fuel with your vehicle running.
