Hi Everyone, New member here from Morgantown, WV. Recently picked up a 2020 ST in Atlas Blue with around 47K on the clock. Got a great price on it, everything runs fine. Haven't even made my first payment, and I'm having the following issues:

First fill-up after the dealer, car wouldn't start. Threw code P0456. I read up and replaced the Purge Valve Solenoid, which I've come to understand is a common issue. Now the car starts fine, however, the next fillup, the car decided to dump gas out into my driveway once I shut it off, and had fuel leaking everywhere inside the driver's side rear fender well. After about 100 miles, It's throwing Codes P0451, P0455, and P04F0. I disconnected the valve again completely to inspect it and make sure it wasn't incorrectly connected somewhere, only to find that gas had worked it's way all the way up into the new purge solenoid. If anyone has had these sort of issues, please chime in, as I haven't seen a lot of posts with the fuel spillage. My car doesn't fall under any recalls for fuel filler neck, etc, though I did find a TSB for Evap codes.

The dealer I bought this from is supposed to "work with me" on getting this fixed, as they're 3.5 hours away, and in a different state, but it's a frustrating issue to say the least. I inspected the car well, but not really something you can find on your average test drive. Anyway, other than that, I just had the paint corrected, and had ceramic coating and PPF installed, which turned out great. Thanks for having me!

Emissions is warrantied for 8 years 80,000 miles. My PCV just took a crap and the dealer picked up my truck fixed it and had it back in 4 hours with zero charge. Call the dealer

I don’t. I even go as far as not putting the nozzle on full blast. I stop when it stops.

I’m in the process of working with them on it now. This is the first I’ve heard of 8/80 for that sort of thing. So far they’re offering me “internal pricing” and free labor, but haven’t mentioned warranty.

I did. It fixed the start issue, only for the “evap leak” codes to remain.
Clear the codes and see if it comes back. If it’s leaking, take it back to the dealer, it’s covered under the 8 year/80k mile emissions warranty.

Thanks, I did clear them already and they do come back.

Is there any Ford dealer near you? Or is the place you bought it from the closest one? I’d take it back to the dealer if it’s still getting those codes, as long as your within that warranty timeline and mileage it should be covered.

it’s a 2020 (2019 production) with 47K. Def within the time and mileage for emissions stuff. The dealer I bought it from is 3.5hours away. They have yet to mention this warranty but they’re offering to fix anything that does need fixed at cost. I will bring it up when we talk next, which should be tomorrow.

If it is under warranty, any Ford or Lincoln dealer close to you can handle it. No reason to go 3.5 hours away for it.

No reason to keep going back to them unless something goes outside that warranty, just go to your local dealer.
