I pulled the trigger on the 22x10.5 SuperForged classics and am weighing tire options.

I’m not lowered and won’t be, so I’m set on the 305/40R22 size since the 295/40R22 are RIDICULOUS $$$.

There is a $600 total delta between the Michelin Defender LTX and the Toyo Proxes ST. Can any owners of these tires shed some light on the differences? My 73yr old dad (who is a gearhead) says the Defenders ride better and are much quieter on the highway. I had the old Proxes ST2 way back on a lowered F150 with a Whipple. I remember the Proxes being sh!t in the snow and ice which I must take into account.

Thanks for your help!

The Defender is good in snow, the ST2 is horrible in anything but dry weather. Aturos seem to be pretty decent, they make the AZ850 in a 305/35 (ideal size) and the AZ810 (3PMSF rated) is made in a 305/40 (some rubbing).
