I added a hidden, behind the grille lightbar on my 25'. I put the on/off switch on the panel under the headlight switch as the picture shows. It's a terrible spot !!
I use the lightbar a lot coming home from my deer hunting spot because there are a ton of deer always crossing the roads on my way back home. I will take as much light as I can get to avoid hitting one. With that being said, there are a fair number of vehicles I encounter coming at me and I have to reach down to turn the switch off and on again. It's in a poor spot to turn it on and off lots of times.
I've thought about where to relocate it for a while now, and like you, I have had a tough time finding it's new spot.. .
What I'm thinking about doing is moving the switch to the verticle side flange of the trim cover the gearshift rotary knob sits on. It will be near the shift knob (not directly accross from it) but as far back in the direction of the center console as I can that will still allow it to fit. For me, there is enough room to do this and to have it look and function well.
I circled the approximate area but I would mount it on the other side close to the driver as the other arrow is referring too.
It can't be mounted on the same verticle side flange over the cubby compartment lid because the cubby lid wouldn't be able to open and close. The clearence between the lid and the side flages of that trim piece is minimal.
