Got a 2026 loaded and I'm loving it.

Dumb question

When I turn on adaptive cruise control it automatically just starts adjusting speed before I even have a change to hit the resume button like I did previously on my 2020 model. Is this new or am I messing a setting somewhere?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums

Sounds like you have the intelligent cruise control on that reads street signs and uses GPS. It’s somewhere in the settings, change it to adaptive cruise instead of intelligent cruise

My setting in cruise control are normal cruise and adaptive which is where it’s set now. If I turn off adaptive don’t I also turn off blue cruise?

maybe it’s changed a bit with the newer models as I don’t have blue cruise. For my 22 it’s in the vehicle assist settings on the main center console screen there’s an option for adaptive vs intelligent but I’m wondering if you’ve got another setting altogether. Maybe another 25-26 owner can chime in

Ok finally uploaded a pic haha.

Here are my initial thoughts after 1 week of ownership going from a 2020 Platinum to a 2026 ST.

Love the blue color! Thought it looked terrible on Ford website, fell in love with it when I say the color at the dealership on a car.

Hate the driver instrument panel, IMO the 2020 was clean and easy to navigate.

Do love the map option on driver panel.

I have the lifetime Blue Cruise, have been using it a lot here in Atlanta with plenty of supported roads to use it on. Only thing I don't like is the automatic lane change, have flipped between it being on and off.

Lighted up ST logo on mirrors onto the ground is pretty cool

Is it me or does the start up chime and ding sound really loud and almost distored?

Have the 1 year for the Google Maps and all that jazz that come with it. Will not be subscribing once that ends. I always use Car play and flip between Waze, Apple Maps and Google Maps. If I need a hotspot I just make my iPhone one if needed.

That's all I can think of for now haha.
