The picture above is after I pulled almost .5 qts out after adding 6.5.

I believe the issue is I did not get enough oil out because I had the font end on ramps. I'm going to start draining with the rear end also up. I'm thinking being on ramps leaves nearly a half quart in the pan. I'll then dump 6.5 in and call it good.

Mine is a little higher than yours. But it was very similar after the 6qt change. And also factory fill.

Yeah, I think I'm going to learn this one the hard way!
Just replaced new rear end and one turbo at 62K.
Now yesterday after having some fun, I'm hearing a loud ticking noise!!! Checked the oil change paperwork and shop used 5.5 qts, that was almost 5k ago, but car states 33% oil life left. Checked dip stick today cold and oil didn't even register. Went back to shop and had them add 1qt. Still reading low. This motor burns oil in between changes and now I think I fucked something up as I was doing hard driving but had no idea the oil could have been low! I'm going to check the level tomorrow morning but I fear damage was done. Hopefully nothing too bad, but we will see.

Has it sat an hour? Check it now.
