Last week had brought my Explorer to the dealer initially for the vehicle continuing to go into deep sleep. Battery was tested and was fine. They reset the BMS.
While at the dealer, they said the alignment for the front was out of spec. Went ahead with the alignment and now I’ve noticed the vehicle drives different.
Bear with me here… the best way I can describe it, is the steering feels different. It feels heavier when turning. Also, it has become very grabby. It will trail straight but it feels like I’m getting input from the power steering when making small adjustments. Similar to when you have lane keep assist on and the vehicle makes correction to keep it on track.
2022, I have stock everything suspension wise and the vehicle has 29K miles.
Unfortunately I discarded the paperwork that showed what was out. I can’t remember what on the front was out but if I recall correctly it was both the front tires to the tune of about .1. I spoke with the dealer to see if they could reference the before and after and in their words “it doesn’t get processed for about a month…”
I’ll be brining it back to the dealer to have them check the spec. But after reading some threads on here, it seems the dealers may be missing an alignment spec?
Any and all help is appreciated.
