Hey Folks.

I just got done installing the Fenfab V2 intake this weekend. I tried doing a launch today, and the car would not build boost. It sounded like it was spooling up but there was just no juice behind it at all. For about 5 seconds. I read one little blurb on the Facebook page that mentioned needing to get re-tuned afterwards. Has anyone else run into this?

Full disclosure- I currently have the Ford Performance tune that is installed from the previous owner. So re-tuning isn't really an option....

Tune should not be needed for intake to prevent codes. Normally you would get a code if it’s not building pressure due to a leak. You say power comes on after 5 seconds?

I wouldn't think that a tune/re-tune would be needed....but I was second guessing myself after reading some other remarks online. I did some more launches and pulls this evening, and everything seemed like it was fine. Perhaps when launching, I didn't get into high enough RPM, so it thought that I was just casually driving with the brake on while giving it gas. Who knows...but thank you for taking the time to respond to my panic post.

Your welcome. I’ve received a lot of info here especially for a non-Facebook guy. Great resource.
