I had a CEL come up. I will be doing a code check later since I’m at work. I wanted to get a head start on a little research and see if other people had problems similar. Car ran and started fine. Nothing abnormal. This is what FordPass says:

Ok. I will look into it. Thanks all. I’ve heard of it but forgot all about it.

Yup just had my pcv done under warranty sounds like it’s what’s going on. Covered by ford emissions 8 year 80k warranty
I thought about dropping my car at the dealership to get it replace under warranty But it was easier for me to replace the part myself in under 20 min.

There has been mixed reports on if it’s covered by emissions warranty. What was your guys experience?

It’s covered under the 8 year/80k mile warranty.

I probably would’ve done the same but the dealer close to me does free pickup and delivery. Had it back in under 4 hours

I have P0496 EVAP System High Purge Flow and P0456 EVAP System Leak (Very Small Leak). I called the dealer and they told me it was probably that evap purge valve you linked however it was not covered under warranty and they quoted me $500.

What other posters call warranty is not the Ford warranty but the Federal Emissions warranty. Tell your dealer about that one.

Good advice. Just bought a replacement for 30 bucks on Amazon. It's a 5min thing. I'll see if it fixes it.
If that doesn't work. Get the Motorcraft version.

I'd get a Motorcraft valve. Can order one from Tasca Parts. My experience with cheapo purge valves that i installed (not my choice) on other cars is they tend to fail again pretty early.
