Just curious, after some searching, no one really seems concerned or even mentions the range of normalcy with EGT's on our ST's. Does anyone really know what the normal range is and what is considered dangerously high? I know google has an answer, but what does the forum say?

I didn’t worry with 1000+ HP diesels making 100+ lbs of boost and 2000° or more…not gonna worry about it with this car either.

I mean, I get it but that’s not really helpful. Just curious what max temp is according to Ford.

I wouldn't worry about your EGTs, for one, who knows how accurate the measurement is.

2. The pistons are being cooled by oil, fresh air and they are all not exposed to the same EGTs...

If your at 1900° for a large sustained amount of time, than you should worry, the catalyst materials start getting hotter and hotter until it either melts or breaks apart when you let off and it cools down rapidly.
In short, no more than 2000°, these 3.0T run hot, ive seen EGTs as high as 1950° during multiple passes on hot ass days, the ecus have temp control logic that will dump fuel to cool things down, but fueling can only save you for so long..
