I didn't realize that most of the driver assist settings reset every key cycle. Is there a way to keep the things that you don't want off permanently or is that a Forscan thing?

Thanks!

The settings you change via the touchscreen shouldn’t change?

Yeah, mine don't unless we are talking about different things.

Braking assist, swerve assist, cross traffic and maybe one or two others keep resetting every time I start the ST.

I have a 2025 ST and it does the same reset on power-up too. The only one that stays is the Back-Up Assist, it stays off. But the forward motion nannies all reset on each start-up. I was almost hit when the forward collision nanny stopped me right in front of on coming traffic. It mis-read the traffic situation causing me to darn near have a heart attack. The dealer told me that is just the way it works. They also stated due to liability, neither they or anyone else they knew, would be willing to change that "feature".

I turned off every single driver assist possible in the dealership parking lot before I drove it home in 2020…they’re still off.

That is one of the differences between the 2025 and earlier Explorers. Not all vehicle firmware is the same from one model year to another. You're lucky to be able to do that. ForScan would turn off the annoying start-stop feature prior to 2025, but not for '25 or '26.

The only constant in life is change...
