Coolant changing color ?!

Hey guys,

I’ve checked my coolant after a run yesterday and it looked orange-ish to me.
I looked it up on the forum here and someone said that it could be due the heat cycle, that it caused the discoloration. I thought it to be temporary too, so I let it sit overnight.
I know for a fact it came a bit low from the factory and I topped it off to level at the dealership. It’s been about a year now, but at either times the fluid was green before and after, until now.

Should I be concerned about this, or is this a normal thing that just happens overtime? It’d help to know if someone has experienced this before and how they dealt with it.

P.S.: I’ve attached yesterday’s post run pic and today’s, so you’ll see the difference when it was hot yesterday (above max level) and it was cool today (in between lines)

That looks normal to me. This is an overflow/expansion tank and it doesn’t really circulate the coolant thru there nearly as much as the radiator. I wouldn’t worry about it unless you wanted to do a coolant drain/refill just so you know what you’re working with in there. Also, remember to top off with the special Ford coolant not regular green coolant.

Thanks for the reply, but what's the "special Ford coolant" referring to? I've used the motorcraft pre-diluted antifreeze coolant, something specific that the manual stated to use.
