Code: P2C90 - Crankcase Ventilation System - Hose 'A' Disconnected on 2025 Explorer ST with Fen Fab V2 Intake

I talked to Brett from FenFab. The 3D printed tee is for the evap system to bring the vapors back into the intake instead of atmosphere. Brett explained the P2C90 is due to the lower turbo intake hose up to the driver side valve cover. Check that the 90° barbed fitting is tight and the hose is snug.

The way the code reads (as seen in OP), it made me check exactly this connection. I found my lower hose to be perfectly tight on both ends. I did not zip tie either end, because they're really tight and damn near impossible to yank off. (Shouldn't have to zip tie barbed connections, anyway) I did take the one off the valve cover side once, because I didn't like how I routed it first, and it was a bitch to take off... and still is super tight after reinstalling. The barbed fitting is tight into the intake tube, too... I can't remember how many turns I got after hand tight, but it definitely was not coming off by hand.

I don't like the 3D printed part regardless of its purpose. If it wasn't printed with ABS or better, it doesn't belong under the hood of a vehicle, and the way it was designed and printed, it's asking to fail easily.


@DaGooch, I'll check this evening to make sure there is no crap inside of that 3D printed part, if I can... I can't remember if I looked through it or not when I installed.


I've been out of town, so I haven't driven (don't much, anyway), but still no code. I am going out of town again next week, but this time driving a bunch, so I guess I shall see if the code reappears or not then.

Took a gander at that 3D part and did not see any garbage inside. I did notice that somewhere inside, it restricts down to less than half the diameter of the small tube that we zip tied. Not quite sure what the idea is there, but it doesn't seem right to me, logically.

Thanks for the confirmation of the restriction. So it was designed like this? It doesn't make sense to me either. I am wondering if it matters though.
