How do I get them to fold/unfold consistently with the lock unlock? I have reset it in the settings and still have to unfold or close manually.

if you manually fold it, you will need to manually unfold it. Otherwise when you are outside the car and hit lock on the door or keyfob, it should fold automatically.

The mirrors on the 25+ seem to be a real issue that ford has not yet addressed. My passenger mirror fails to unfold probably 40% of the time. I had a dealer appointment set, and when I went in, they said they'd, "need to keep it for a few days." to try to get to the root of the issue. I just brought it home instead. To me, it's only concerning because how am I supposed to trust a self-driving car (blue-cruise) when my mirrors won't even unfold correctly.

That's odd. I've seen this behavior in other Fords, where they act up rarely. My 2025 has not had the issue once. I'd love to know what causes these inconsistencies.

Me too, and they're always such odd inconsistencies. My hatch close/lock button also randomly fails to illuminate. My seats fail to scoot back when I turn my car off sometimes. Just small "automatic" conveniences that aren't necessarily "important", but just end up being inconvenient when they don't work correctly.

I'm starting to have the same problems with my 2025 ST, it's the right mirror and doesn't unfold when I unlock the car. The 40% lately seems about right. I haven't taken it in yet, I just set it so have stopped folding in

Mirror folds, but inconsistently. I have reset the mirror slider in the settings and then got out and used the lock button, and it works. Then the next time when I unlock it, the mirrors stay closed. Then it is a button push. I had no such issue with mirrors on my 2015 F150. Is there a setting in Forscan that closes mirrors on platform shutoff and opens when platform turned on? Or something close to that, where you don't need to reach into your pocket to pressing the fob button? First world problem, but the reason we have rf transmitters/receivers is to not have to use the fob.

This has happened a few times with my '25 ST and seemed to start after I mistakenly unlocked the vehicle when I had the cover on it; the tension of the cover prevented the mirrors from unfolding all the way. I locked and unlocked the ST and they seemed fine but since then a time or two they haven't folded when locked or unfolded when unlocked.

The other thing that works inconsistently is the warning chime when I close the rear hatch. I'd say that 30% of the time there is no chime at all (but this seems to occur when the hatch has been open for awhile), 45% of the time I can hear the chime up front but not in the back of the vehicle and then maybe 25% of the time I can hear it clearly in the back when I hit the close button. My old Mazda CX-9 folding mirrors did weird stuff too for the 6 years I owned it and the dealer could never explain why or fix it.

It has happened to my 2026 some 3x where one side or the other does not unfold. Never happened with my 2020.
