Not horrible, and least it’s available with the 3.0L.

I have wanted to add tow hooks to my 25' ST since I bought it. I would be interested to see if the lower front facia insert and the tow hooks that go through it, would be transferable over to a 25" ST. Paint the lower inset black and either make the tow hooks black or paint them the body color so everything looks as it should for my 25'. I'm inclined to believe they just may be swappable / transferable.

I would imagine everything is transferable.

Torsen LSD makes it same/better than a Subaru for most light off-road (forest service roads) use cases, but likely won't have any real aftermarket support for that kind of thing. Oh well.

Ford needs to bring the Everest over here, Bronco sales cannibalization be damned.

Thanks to the ST there is a lot of aftermarket support, but tuning and off road offerings are not.

Not my cup of tea, but nothing wrong with it. I just prefer more street performance.

Looks like Ford is consolidating/standardizing their product trim levels. Timberline replace with Tremor which aligns with other models.

This has me thinking about what the future is for the Explorer ST? I don't mean it will go away, but with the European Focus ST ceasing production in the fall, it will be the only ST product made by Ford. Given that they no longer provide ST key fobs, are we nearing the end of the ST trim name in use?

At that point, will the ST become the Explorer Lobo to align with Ford's "Street Truck" trim level? With the 3.0L available in other trim levels and other vehicles, it doesn't really have the exclusivity that something like an SVT Cobra had.

LOBO is made for the Spanish market so you won't see a LOBO here.

They already make an F150 and Maverick Lobo. It doesn’t make any sense though.

I see ST sticking around for quite a bit longer. They still have the ST-Line on other levels. The Lobo trims and Stealth Performance trims should’ve been STs. Ford really doesn’t have a solid street performance brand yet.
