    Heated wheel temp

Bit chilly here today (60 degrees) but if i can think of it i'll toss mine on during the next warm day and see what it does.

Charging with a charger in garage

You don't necessarily need to remove the battery. You could just disconnect the battery and put it on the tender. However I must say I've never done this on my ST however as it's my every day car, so unsure of any negative consequences of this. I only mention pulling the battery because...

Charging with a charger in garage

While that may help with the battery situation, it's not exactly healthy to start and idle a car that isnt going to be driven. Idling like that creates condensation that will collect in the exhaust (prematurely rusting it), or in the engine crankcase and contaminate the oil. Unless you can...

    ABS not available sometime

If the ABS light is on, there should be DTC's in the ABS module. You will need a higher-end scan tool, or ForScan to pull module DTC's as your basic OBD2 scanner can only pull DTC's from the PCM. Given that the ABS light is on, i would expect to see codes. If you can post those codes, it...

Fullscreen Android Auto/CarPlay Mod Is Here for Sync3 10P Screen!! [FMods Team 10 Pees]

Got mine yesterday. So far, so good, but only a handful of drives. It does show the music info on the cluster and updates as I change the songs. SO far no complaints, but i'm only into this for $9.

    Heated wheel temp

ANd just to add to this thread. My wheel gets HOT. I usually turn it off after 2-3 mins as it's pretty darn toasty. I might try and knock it down from the default 35 degrees to something a tad lower.

    Wheel weights

Haven't had an issue with stick-on weights on my stock wheels. I've swapped for snow tires and back, so i'm on my 3rd set of weights and no issue. However, i do remember when i got a new set of wheels for my Mustang, i had trouble with the weights. Before mounting the tires, i did a wipe...

Updated FORScan sheet for 2020-24 Ford Explorer (All Trims)

This is on my to-do list so let me poke around and see what I can find. Chilly AM today and it annoys me that the highest seat heater temp is uncomfortably hot. EDIT: I see the same. Pulling a few as_builts from the Ford website using Explorer VIN's i've found for sale, i don't think temp...

    removing 2nd row seats

I pulled the middle seat out of my bench for more space. Issue is with the seat belt buckles. When you disconnect them, it causes errors with the seat belt monitoring system so you'll get warnings on the dash. If temporary, don't worry about it. If this is a long term thing, you'll need to...

Updated FORScan sheet for 2020-24 Ford Explorer (All Trims)

That might be a mechanical issue, and not necessarily a ForScan setting that needs to be adjusted. I would imagine if there are settings for it, they would be in the HVAC module as that's where the heated seat temps are. My steering wheel gets plenty hot within a min or two and I end up...

    2020-2024 Parking Brake ForScan Options?

Automatically turning on the parking brake was part of the axle bolt recall. Part of the fix was to replace the bushing and bolt and reprogram the software to kick on the e-brake any time the vehicle was put into park. Since your vehicle doesn't seem to qualify for the recall (according to...

How-to: Front climate control swap(add 20-21 temp display to 22+)

Finally got around to doing this on my '23. Bought a used unit on Ebay but should have paid more attention. Didn't realize there was a version with gloss buttons, and one with matte. I'll need to see if i can take the two units apart to just swap the buttons. I have no desire to buy another...

Updated FORScan sheet for 2020-24 Ford Explorer (All Trims)

Is there any way to enable the 360 camera feature on the 360 delete credit cars? My '23 has the credit. However, it has the cameras in the mirrors, and in the grill. I see the wiring harness for the grill camera in place and connected. I also see an option in ForScan for "360 camera" enable...

How-To: Creating your own ST Lighted Cup Holder Harness

I still haven't worked on this yet myself. I have the cupholder, the LED light harness, and one of the connectors I need. Been meaning to pay a trip to the local junkyard to snip some harness connectors off some wrecked explorers. I'm not paying $90 for a simple plug from Ford. Haven't put...

2026 Ford Explorer Replaces Vista Roof With Fixed Glass Option

Has anyone ordered a '26 yet and confirmed that the fixed roof is in addition to the pano sunroof option? Or if the fixed the only option and pano is deleted? (see post 6 comments)

    O2 Sensors?

It's ridiculous isn't it? Anytime i've parted out a Ford, if I'm not selling the wiring harness complete, i clip all the connectors off. It's crazy what Ford sells them for.

How-To: Adding Hands Free Liftgate Late '22 and '23 explorer.

Got around to doing this. Can confirm the $20 modules on eBay with the above part number work. Thanks for the write-up! Hardest part was holding the bumper part back to get that darn T15 bolt out.!
