    I had to go online and pay to download the Ford ABS software to my basic scanner, I also use ForeScan which is a lot better.

    I had a similar problem with a 2004 Explorer 4x4 (noise only cut in at highway speeds), turned out to be a bad rear wheel bearing....

    Where do you sense it? Steering wheel, seats, foot pedals? You could try rotating your tires.

    So the mirror glass was replaced, now you have an internal fault. Sounds like you have nothing to loose, I would watch a few YouTube videos then try to disassemble and repair it. You can also buy and install a used assembly and use Forscan to cal the camera. A new unit from ford is about 1/2...

    I could be wrong, but I think that sensor is in the rear tail light, water intrusion? Intermittent fault?

    I checked the 2023 Explorer service manual (interceptor included), it showed a different 8 pin connector with 6 conductors. Your best bet may be to buy one from a local Automobile recycle center and cut the harness from the donor Explorer as far back as you can then splice it into your harness...

    2025 Oil Capacity

    Interesting, manual says the 3 is the max fill level but it goes to 1(Normal) when I just add 6qt, never thought about that. Starts up a lot smoother at 2.

    There is a spot under the gas pedal were it could hide and not restrict pedal movement, also the front seats have HVAC vents (centered under the seats that face to the rear) that is could fall into. .

    Any exhaust that is between stock and thermal 2.5 sound levels?

    I bought the AWE touring exhaust when it was first introduced, but did not install it because the mufflers contained straight pipes with a single hole in the side that ported to the muffler body, thought it would be too loud. Great looking 3" exhaust and tips.
