    Welcome and congrats!

    Quickjack on sale at Costco

Pinch welds where I use rubber blocks should be close enough for the standard model. I'll find out soon enough.

QUESTION: Who is using/has used a 3 bolt at the drag strip?

Correct, my diff cover had two bolt holes with only one of them used. Regarding solid bushings, I'm not a big fan unless you are talking pure performance and not comfort. I put some poly bushings in my CTSV and while it handled great, daily driving was horrible and I swapped them back out.

    Interior creaks and rattles

I think it's hit or miss on the quality. Mine has been outstanding so far but I also did a sound deadening exercise for stereo. Fingers crossed.

QUESTION: Who is using/has used a 3 bolt at the drag strip?

Can't speak for the diff cover but my 4-bolt subframe was $1600 delivered.

    Quickjack on sale at Costco

I have the 5000 for a 66 Mustang in Florida. I just bought the 7000 bundle just for the extra insurance. It's not like a two post lift regarding construction. While I don't worry about my 3,000lb Mustang on it, not sure I would feel great about a 4500lb Explorer on it.

QUESTION: Who is using/has used a 3 bolt at the drag strip?

Right now Ford will not replace a 3-bolt with a 4-bolt even if you break the 1 bolt. The Police version may be the exception. The lame solution from Ford is to replace the 1 bolt. It appears to me that an average fabricator could find a bushing, drill out where the second bolt goes, and weld...

    Quickjack on sale at Costco

Just an FYI quickjacks are on sale at Costco. I have been using one in Florida. While not a full lift, they are very nice if you are tight for space and want a reasonably cheap way to easily get your car in the air. Quickjack

    Retrofit Ambient Cupholder Lighting

Pulled the complete interior, seats and console and trim panels, to do sound deadening. I believe when I had it out you could see the cup holders on the bottom. I assume they snap in some how but I never attempted.

    Retrofit Ambient Cupholder Lighting

I don't remember seeing any spare wires but I pulled it out complete and re-installed it complete. Just a few electrical connections. Should have taken a peak while I had it out. Oh well.

How does everyone wash and dry the roof?

5 Gallon pail. Upside down of course

    Retrofit Ambient Cupholder Lighting

Looks like you have to remove the center console to get at the cup holders. It's not too bad is you have some mechanical skills. I did it when I emptied the interior to do sound deadening. If you are up for it there are videos.

    Retrofit Ambient Cupholder Lighting

What if you pulled the cup holders, wrapped them around the outside of the cup holder with possibly some small cutouts to let the light into the holder. Just a thought. You would get the cool lighting with no noticeable source.

Did anyone else get the recall letter?

    Bummer, sorry to hear.

Did anyone else get the recall letter?

Just an annoying complaint about the recall and parking brake. My wife's Mercedes locks the parking brake every time you shift into park. As soon as you shift out of park it released the parking brake automatically. Why can't Ford do it this way? I suppose they are thinking if the driveshaft...

They look good....until you look close. Just My opinion.

    Retrofit Ambient Cupholder Lighting

I can't help solve this problem but thought I would share a chuckle. I got a new golf cart. Went for a drive and it had lighted cup holders. I immediately lol'ed and thought of my Explorer. Sure would be nice to have them in the ST!

    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

I painted my Whipple on front with Eastwood radiator paint. Supposedly it has good thermal characteristics and spray thin coats.
