Yes Sport mode and maybe the off road modes turn it off, otherwise they will automatically be on. Even in tow mode which is extremely weird.

No. Sport mode is a drive mode changed via the drive mode selector beneath the gear selector. Manual is a transmission mode where you manually select what gear to be in via the paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Velvet, Superforged, and Vossen are the best places to get some nice wheel setups. You won’t be able to get a worthwhile drop from coulovers due to the hardness of getting a proper alignment. Lowering springs are the lowest drop you can get before alignment problems arise.

Plenty of us have been trouble free with these cars, including me. Even so, your right, an ESP is always good in case you get one with problems.

Welcome. Yes we used to have the same exact powertrain in the Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring but they discontinued that this year.

I believe Lethal Performance also offers one but otherwise then that there is nothing more. They are all pretty equal as far as performance. I would not recommend the Steeda one though as a lot of people seem to have really bad rust problems with them.
