    New member with 2020 question

Congrats and welcome! Any issues that could pop up would be very apparent. Common issues like AWD MODULE (lots of codes), front diff leak, front diff actuator (drivetrain related codes), cat converter crack (smell), flex pipe rattle, and those are really the only major ones.

    2020 - Help Identify a Possible Problem

Everything sounds normal to me, anything could cause that knocking so it’s hard to pinpoint it.

    Downpipes

Haven’t seen anyone run them due to the fact that they’ll rasp like crazy with an exhaust and aren’t worth the extra emission hale power wise.

    Bad day for the ST

As much as I always say “ST over Platinum always” that difference in mileage and price is worth it to get the Platinum. Unless your in a rush though, I’d wait for the right ST to pop up, Platinums are nice but STs are just different, hard to put in words.

    Bad day for the ST

Seems like a decent deal, I’d ask for new tires and if you could talk them down to like $37k then it’d be a good deal. Is it a CPO car?

    Timberline gone for 25

Don’t think Ford world ever drop prices for those parts, the existing owners are still there, and those people will still probably buy those parts.

Identify part please Ford Explorer ST

The transfer case is behind the tranny (engine is in front of tranny), but from the photo the circled part looks like the tranny. Not sure what bolt you’re referring to.

All you need is a dongle ($30) and the free Forscan and it’ll pull up all the codes.

Another broken exhaust story - Have a question for everyone

Whoosh or CVFab downpipes are best bang for buck. If you delete the resonator with stock exhaust it will sound raspy and will drone. Probably best to just weld the stock exhaust back together or get a new aftermarket one.

    Bad day for the ST

Glad you’re okay that definitely looks like the car took a beating! Sorry you couldn’t stay longer!

    Livernois Tune

They probably reprogrammed PCM for automatic parking brake when placed in park, rendering the current tune unusable. Any update to the PCM requires an adjustment to the tune.

    Welcome and congrats!

    Multiple error codes...

It’s probably okay to drive but I wouldn’t wait for it too long.

New motor, hallelujah. 2020 Explorer ST.

There’s no such thing as an HP Tune. It is a programming device. ZFG uses it to program it so it has to be that.

    Scratches Fix

Those are some really deep scratches. Ford used to make touch up pens, they still might and you could use that on the actual paint. I’d search for those. You’ll probably need to replace the rear emblem, but you could get a black emblem set (front and rear) from Ford for $110 and they will look a...

    Battery cost from Ford

When I see these dealer labor costs I want to go work for them.

FINALLY got my lowering springs installed

Wheels, rims, same thing. Also, someone was selling blacked out center caps (not just overlays) with red ST logo on Amazon, eBay, and Etsy. Probably just isn’t on their anymore.

    Error Messages

Probably just a glitch or something. Front half shaft speed sensor most likely will need to be replaced either way.
