I believe only the 2020 Explorer's had the bolts and 21+'s had the rivets, small changes. Also, there were 2 revision's of the whipple brackets, you may have had the 1st one? Not sure if there are vids with the rivets as most were done for the 2020. So might be a bit confusing for others that...

IMO, the more electronics, the more possible issues. The Explorer has been having a ton more issues lately vs previous years. But as long as engine and tranny are strong and last, thats the main thing that should matter. BMW has come a LONG way vs previous years. The recent B54/B48/S58...
