There is also a button on the steering wheel for the lane keeping assist, which is in addition to lane centering.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

I know, like I wouldn't know if the driveshaft became disconnected while trying to park. But I also have the backup camera recall to do (hasn't been an issue for me yet) and the left cat cracking recall to do when they get parts (that one I think I would like to get done). I figure when I take...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

I always use the parking brake, but I am hating the idea of it going on automatically when you place the vehicle in park. I have the two (four) bolt axle and just received my recall notice. I am hesitant.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

You could just turn off the parking brake with the manual activation/deactivation button.

WTB Black ST SUV Experience Emblems

It is certainly worth the trip for the experience. We drove our ST from North Bay, Ontario to participate, about 1,100 miles. My wife was hesitant at first but really enjoyed the SUV experience day in Asheville. The instructors were great and you get to abUSE their ST instead of yours. I am not...

How can I carry 3 kayaks with no roof rails?

I was reminded of this dilemma when I saw this vehicle transporting three kayaks. Who says you need roof racks, when a few pool noodles will do.

How can I carry 3 kayaks with no roof rails?

Definitely a first world problem. I would have preferred my ST without the rails. Enjoy.

EXPLORER ST DRIVING SCHOOL REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Hey, I just signed up for April 27/28 in Asheville. There were other dates, but it was limited. Good luck. Ron

    Door locks have become sentient...

Is it just the driver's door, or all doors?

Or someone in your household is having fun at your expense.

    Cup Holder ambient lights

My 2020 ST was manufactured in September 2020, after their left footwell reinforcement, and I have had no electric or mechanical failures (knock on wood). I think the late production of a 2020 ST is the best of both worlds, no issues and still a 4-bolt. Cheers.

Ford Explorer ST Vehicle Order Tracking

Ford announced the chip shortage is halting or down cutting production of the Explorer in Chicago.

    UniJack review.

You could also just put a wooden spacer under the jack so you can full use the third pin hole instead of just missing the fourth hole.

    Factory Blind Spot Mirrors

I have driven truck too, but driving the ST is much better than a large truck. You have to think of it as more of a sports car than a transport. You have a rear-view mirror and can stay ahead of most other four wheelers. Enjoy.

    Factory Blind Spot Mirrors

I just aim my side mirrors a little further out to cover the blind spot. A real separate convex like on a set of large truck mirrors is valuable, but a 1" to 2" mirror taking up space on the regular mirror is just an obstruction. But each their own. I like the mirrors on the ST.

    Blind spot mirror doodad criteria?

There are proximity warnings for all four sides and corners when parking or moving slowly. And there is blind spot monitoring. Two different features.

    Looking for fuel mileage advice...

Hi, I have a 2020 ST with 14,000 km on it and my fuel economy has ranged from 32 mpg to 16 mpg. It is stock and I use 91 octane, no ethanol. The best milage of 32 mpg was a 500 mile trip on rural 2 lane at 55 mph, in eco mode and driving like I had a fish bowl on the passenger seat. Worst...

    Thule cargo box

Hi, I use a trailer hitch rack to carry things I do not want to put in the ST (or minivan). Usually gas and diesel Jerry cans. Works fine for me, but you definitely need to turn off the emergency reverse braking. The St jammed the brakes on the first time backing up. I just leave it off all the...

    Exhaust smell inside vehicle

There has been a recall on my ST stating that the left cat could have a crack and allow exhaust gases into the cabin. Waiting for parts to have it corrected, but no issues with my ST.

    General Battery/Outlet Question

I think the 120 volt AC receptacle is meant for a maximum of 150 watts. It is for a laptop or other small electronic device, not a 1000 watt heater.
