    2021 Explorer ST Headlights

The adjustment works perfectly. It turns easy, and you can see the light adjust up and down. So, I don't think this is the issue. Even the 2 mechanics at the dealer were at a loss. They were sending the info to Ford to see if they had any suggestions.

The screw is very tight. And the light won't move even by rock the car. It is always the same movement when coming to a stop. The dip happens just before coming to a full stop, and then dips back when I start moving. It is to consistent to be loose hardware.

Just a thought I had tonight. Does the Platinum have blacked out headlamps? I know it is the only trim level with adaptive lights and was thinking they possibly put the wrong headlight on my drivers side when they replace the lamp. Just a thought. I couldn't tell from photos or the brochure

So the dealer couldn't figure out the issue today and has to contact Ford. But after they ran diagnostics and I left, the car ran terrible. Had no power, wouldn't accelerate, just made the piped in noised. Had to go back...they finally disconnected the battery for 5 min, and everything ran...

I am glad this is not normal. At first I thought it was something to not blind other drivers when you were stopped behind them. But it is just to weird. As I mentioned, when I got home from the dealer the day I purchased the car, the driver's side headlamp didn't work. DRL and directionals...

    2021 Explorer ST Headlights

I am bringing it to the dealer tomorrow, so hopefully they can figure this out. I would try doing this towards a wall, but it is too unsafe. It's hard enough to hold the phone and steer...really don't want to be aiming towards a wall!! If I goof, then the headlights will really be off!! lol

Nope! I stopped very slowly, and the dip and the dip back up is not the vehicle. It is definitely the lights. I had a couple of more videos, but they were just too large to upload.

Here is a video I took this evening. And the Auto Hi Beam was off. This happens every time I come to a stop. This can't be normal

No, the auto high beams work. But this isn't what is happening. The lows dip when I come to a stop and rise when I move again. The highs are not coming on during this. I will try to video this tonight.

That is what they are doing!! And the headlamp assembly's are bolted in tight. I have an appointment on Wed to bring the car in

They actually move down towards the pavement, then move back up when I start moving again.

    2021 Explorer ST Headlights

I have noticed when driving at night that when I come to a stop, the headlights dip down. Then the dip back up when I start to drive again. Has anyone else noticed this or is it an issue with my car?

Post your favorite pic...it’s a show off thread.

Just joined this forum, as I just traded in my 2019 Edge ST on a 2021 Explorer ST. Lovin' it so far! I have added some red striping front, side and rear, but very subtle. I also added ST center caps and ST badges on the front fenders. Getting my front windows tinted next week and my exterior...
