    DOWNPIPES WORTH THE MONEY??

I think you are way ahead of the game in terms of hp. So, if you want more, you really need to think about your goals and your budget! You could spend $2800 on downpipes and exhaust for another 25 or so HP. After that you're talking about turbos, and that's where it gets interesting. It's my...

    Downpipes Upgrade, Worth it?

I have covered this in various exhaust threads on this site. A dual 2.25 exhaust has more flow area than a single 3" exhaust. You can find scores of turbocharged vehicle dynos on the internet with a single 3" exhaust making 700+hp. Flow requirements are different between N/A and supercharged...

    +175HP Let's go!

Just to jog the memory!: https://www.explorerst.org/threads/explorer-st-wheel-size-bolt-pattern-offset-tire-information.188/post-27206 Before run flats and other things (no idea when you ran the personal best). In any case, for OP, you should be in same range.

    +175HP Let's go!

If your dynos are correct at 520, you should be in the same range. Another ST dynoed at 504 was at 11.89. Unbroken (I'm sure he'll be happy to detail it) has some pretty significant savings in wheel and brake weight.

    DOWNPIPES WORTH THE MONEY??

Keep this in mind- there have been several postings of owners on this forum with supporting dyno charts making over 500 (wheel hp!) with stock downpipes AND stock exhaust. In one case, 540 WHP. So unless you really want to make more HP than that (and that won't be a 93 tune, you'd have to go...

    +175HP Let's go!

Nice results! Are there any other mods that aren't listed? CAI, exhaust, downpipes, etc?

    Mighty Mouse catch can

Don't get prickly about it! Under vacuum condition, the ST PCV system draws blow-by into the intake manifold where it can be re-burnt. Under boost, it draws it into the air filter housing where the gasses are also re-burnt. A system that vents to the atmosphere completely defeats the PCV...

    Mighty Mouse catch can

The whole idea of the PCV system is to capture blow-by gasses and recirculate them through the combustion chamber to restrict emissions by re-burning any leftover hydrocarbons. A catch can is installed in order to try to capture any oil that is part of the blow-by to stop it from ending up in...

    Towing Mileage

Well, CC will certainly "lift" when going down a hill. Since the 90's ECMs have incorporated specific pinouts (or canbus notifications in later models) for CC operation. That "information" allows the ECM to tailor the converter's lockup operation, to cut injectors when descending hills, and to...

Drink Can Froze and Broke Open

My girlfriend once took my Audi TT on a trip to New Mexico to visit her friend. A week later I started smelling what I thought was anti-freeze. After searching in vain for a leak, I found she had forgotten the gift of 3 lbs of grilled frozen Hatch chilies that were left in the floorboard of...

    MrBoom_5.0 build

It would be very interesting if you could make a pull without the air filter installed. That's just to demonstrate the optimum that could be realized for those looking at CAI systems.

    2022 Blow off valve

Look on the bright side, at least you didn't put out several hundred dollars for a 2mm larger throttle body, a Ram-Air snorkel, a Diffy-Stiffy, or a Power Tune device!

    Telemetry unit location and removal.

Obviously, I'm not familiar with Ford's software, but I'm interested in others' experiences. I don't have Sirius, never signed up for or downloaded the Ford Pass app, nor am I being billed for anything. I'm very selective about my privacy (at least as far as I can be). But it's interesting...

    aFe Momentum GT CAI

Just addressing the "forward facing Ram Air" comments. Ram Air sounds nice, but the math shows maybe a 0.7 psi gain at 200 mph. And that would be with a very well designed forward facing scoop! The fact is that what most cars have is a Cold Air intake. The air temperature has a much greater...

    Retrofit Ambient Cupholder Lighting

@GearHead_1 tried this and found the wiring harness doesn't exist anymore for the ambient lights. IIRC, another member reported he did find a way, but had to build his own harness for power and ground from another source.
