    Old man from West KY

I would like to address your first question, can you do better? That really comes down to how much you owe on your MKC, how much they're offering for your MKC (I am also interested in condition and mileage of the MKC), and the actual sale price of the ST (not MSRP). Based on MSRP, it appears...

Does a full exhaust make a difference? You decide.

Good job brother, I'm asking questions because I'm curious, I am not trying to take away from the speed/times (y)

Does a full exhaust make a difference? You decide.

In your opinion, do you believe the gains are from the downpipes, the 3" exhaust, or maybe a combination of the two?

Does a full exhaust make a difference? You decide.

That’s a really good DA too. What was the DA on your previous run? Is that 60 ft of 1.74 vs 1.78 a big difference? I know that a decrease in 60 ft is supposedly equal to two times the decrease on a 1/4 mile time, but on an unprepped road it would seem .04 seconds is within a standard margin of...

Oil change plug. Will this affect warranty?

I don't know how that would affect warranty unless you just don't put it in right and all the oil leaks out and you blow your engine... but that problem isn't specific to THAT oil plug. That could happen with any oil plug.

    Chip on left fender

Luckily I was able to just contact a buddy I used to work with at the Ford Truck Plant and he got me a paint pen/brush.

    Ethanol testing

Fair enough. initially I was against using it but I'll probably buy one as cheap insurance. Do you usually pump the fuel directly into the thing or do you get it out of the fuel tank somehow?

    Ethanol testing

No I already understand how they work, I just didn't know if there was a faster or better idea. But it seems this is the easiest method of doing so. Is you ethanol rating generally close to what it is labeled?

    Ethanol testing

Yea I've seen some of those but do you test at every fill up? I mean really the test is only good until they receive their next shipment and it's not what I would consider to be a quick test. if you're sitting around waiting at a fuel pump to see how much ethanol is in it

    Ethanol testing

Does anyone test their ethanol fuel? I just got an E50 tune for my edge sport (I know this is an Explorer forum, but the edge forums don't have as much traffic or as many people using ethanol tunes) and the pump I used said the ethanol content was anywhere from 51-87%, but it is marked as E85...

    Cold Air Intake

This is strictly a guess, but I would imagine that the SHO and the Explorer had similar setups, kinda like the Fusion sport and the edge, where some of the parts are interchangeable, so making a CAI for the ExSpo is also close enough to market it to the SHO. To the best of my knowledge, I...

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

Good lord is that all for the ST?

    Cold Air Intake

The number of overall ST sales doesn't matter as much as the number of ST buyers that are willing to modify their vehicles, which I am certain isn't anywhere close to 36000 total vehicles. I would be shocked if it was more than 5%, which is 1800. For the record I have no insight on aftermarket...

    Corrosion Control - I hope

Nice work. How often do you have to redo this? And doesn't Ford spray the cavity wax at the assembly plant?
  15. D

    Ford - tune detect

My only point is it's clear there isn't an attitude of "yep a tune voids the warranty". It gives at least some room for critical thinking and justification as to what caused the failure. I would argue that no modifications should void any part of your warranty, but it could absolutely be used as...

    Full 3" exhaust?

By no means am I an expert with turbo charged engines. I was always led to believe that with turbo charged engines back pressure was not a necessity. Can you elaborate just a little on that? I'm not doubting you, nor do I expect an in depth explanation, but I am curious and I want to be...

    SSC Tuatara 331MPH...

Ouch... do you have any articles about that? I am curious

    Ford - tune detect

That's very interesting, I am glad to see they at least have a semi thought out flow chart to help determine if the issue is warrantable, instead of just a wholesale approach to tuning/aftermarkets parts of "warranty void"

    Exhaust idea...

Anyone that flames you for this is insecure in their own tastes and opinions and/or they are trying to justify their own purchase, or is just brand loyal for some dumb reason (unless you're getting paid for it). It's your car man, and frankly I'm excited to see all types of options. I hope you...

    2021 no longer using switchbacks

O wow, I had my wife following me in the explorer the other day and I saw her use her turn signals. I thought they were switch backs... but they're not. I totally missed that
