Sync 4 Upgrade for 2020 Explorer

All the above - how about a word from Ford? PJ [lovest]

    FordPass

It's OK now, but this morning it was going nutz. And I did get a message that some features were off-line. PJ

    Spoiler/Roof Wrap

I like the red - not sure I'd do the "C". I won't be doing my Star White. I think the designers hit my nail with their heads.

    Electric Brake Controller Connector

YES! Have your dealer do it. Took them less than 10 min to connect mine. CAUTION: The folks I got my trailer from spent 3 hours trying to connect a 2019 Explorer and almost cracked the dash. Then they called a Ford guy who fished it out in 5 minutes.

    Memory Seat

Not you're imagination. Try NOT punching the memory button until after you've started your ST. If it's still not going to the memory position, try saving to a different button. If it STILL refuses, before you take it to the dealer, disconnect the battery for a few minutes. I know it's a pain...

    All Weather Floor Mats

I just ordered Weathertech's large cargo mat. For as many times as I've had the 3rd row up, I don't want that weird looking one from Husky and it will match the 1 & 2 rows I already have. Please let us know how that Husky 3rd row mat works.

    Doh!!

    ...if I'd known...[?|] PJ [lovest]

    All Weather Floor Mats

Husky or Weathertech. My escapes had Husky - Weathertech beat them to market on the ST or I would have Huskys now. BUT - I have 1st & 2nd row Weathertech. I run with the 3rd row down usually and would like a two-piece something or at least one piece that covers what's exposed with all seats...

Ford Explorer ST vs Dodge Durango SRT Drag Race

...and, do you have to keep running the tune? Can you go back stock? Can I only tune it on weekends, trips, etc. What does it "really" do to the car? Does the ECM detect and log\record the tune?

    hvac/defroster vent issue

I just went out - When I use my hand, yes I can feel air anytime the HVAC system is on. I can change its intensity by mode or fan speed, but it's always there. (I think by design.) However I do NOT feel it on my face while in the driving position unless I set the controls to do so. PJ

    speed-sensitive volume?

Speed Sensitive Volume "should" work in any drive mode. I just went out and drove up 495. Started at vol:5, put on 102.5 and git the gas. I like the simulated noise. It's a damn good sounding 6, yet it's quiet outside. And this IS an ST. About 5.3 seconds later as I pass 60 I "think" I hear...

    hvac/defroster vent issue

I'll go feel it when my ST returns to my driveway. Is this when you first startup in cold weather, or is this after everything's up to temp?

    hvac/defroster vent issue

I'm 6'1" and the only time it blows on my face is on MAX, and when my wife has "adjusted" things because she thinks she's smarter than the computer...(vents closed or directed away, blower on high,....) I use AUTO with 3 lights. Might you have the defroster on manually?

    Memory Seats

I have had issues. Not quite your issue in the ST (I did have that exact issue in an Escape). I've found if I interrupt a memory recall (like hitting the start button while the seat is moving) the seat, mirrors, etc. continue, but then stop short of their destination. Another tap on the...

    Any kill stories yet?

I have to take a pic. Mine's star white/black and I have a Veteran plate. I picked one with the USAF seal on the left, and the word Vietnam under it. If you haven't seen one, it "looks" official, and most move over. I've always been first off the lights, and most give up within 20 ft. A...

    speed-sensitive volume?

You must have your windows open? Or you're doin' over 120 mph:eek:. With speed sensitivity on max and you're at the desired volume while sitting still; at what speed can't you hear the radio? I had the issue with my Escapes, but they were noisy, this ST is quiet! (...and you do have a button...
  17. PajamaGuy

    Doh!!

Because of the cameras, sensors and other electronics in the overhead, I'd make sure whomever you choose to replace it better know how. I had a Safelite Auto replace the windshield in my '17 Escape. The overhead cover never stayed up, and the bluetooth range went to zero after the repair.

    Run Flat Tires

Tire-Rack has them for under $300 ea. Looks like PNCS takes them to $329.

    Run Flat Tires

... wheel and tire warranty....? where is that? in the glove-box with the manual? PJ

    Whirring and sounds.

Johns20ST If you've tied a memory to your keyfob, it will try to adjust the seat (and mirrors and wheel...) to their memorized positions. Even if you're already there, you'll hear some noise. If you go to any other ST that does NOT have the keyfob option set, nothing will happen. PJ
