Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

You need to look and see if yours has 1 or 2 bolts attaching the cross member to the differential. If yours has 2 bolts your in good shape. See this picture showing the 2 bolts.

The "Space GhoST" has lost its powers....

Maybe @UNBROKEN will chime in on this. Pretty sure he installed an Optima in his Explorer. I would be interested in how he dealt with it.

The "Space GhoST" has lost its powers....

I've been thinking about doing that also. So any good ideas are welcome.

    Catalytic converter theft

    1. Good car insurance. 2. Move to a safer area. 3. Concealed carry. Not to much else you can do that I know of. Good luck and enjoy your ST.

    My 2022 Black ST

Looks good. I would put some never seize on the valve stem caps. Seen a number of posts of them seizing and can't be removed

    Theft

If that's the case you would need the faraday pouch and put the FOB in it every time you got out of the car and locked it. I am not going to do that, if they want it that bad they can have it. Then it becomes my insurance companies problem.

    Theft

Well I just tested that. I went out to my Explorer and locked it with the key FOB. Came back in the house and set it on the table. Went back out and tried to open a door. It stayed locked. Time elapsed maybe 2 minutes. Seems to me it sounds like sales hype.

    Theft

I don't see the advantage to one. Keeping the key with me seems to work. By doing so I can walk up to my vehicle and just open the door. If the key was in a pouch wouldn't you need to remove it to unlock and start your vehicle? Tell me if I'm wrong because I have no experience with one.

    Theft

I lock the doors and keep the key with me.

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

For some reason not showing the update is a common issue for a number of people. You would think Ford could get this fixed but for some reason it continues on.

    Replacement exhaust….that’s quiet

You might need to check with a good exhaust shop near you. Explain to them what your looking for and I would think they could help you out.

Very disappointed in my ST and the oil smell???

First place I would check is the transmission area. One member recently had a small crack in the tranny pan. Others myself included the tranny cooler cracked and was leaking.

will probably start a build on a 2023, prior owners what would you mod first?

For handling front and rear sway bars are a great start. As for performance there isn't to much carb legal for CA so far. That may get better in time.

    New wheels … new issues

I'm no expert on this but I can't help but think that the change of tire diameter is causing the Advancetrac light. Advanetrac is expecting a certain RPM at a certain speed. Now it is different. After all it did show up after that change was made. That is why I think resetting it may clear it...

    New wheels … new issues

You should be able to reset that also. Here is an article with an easy way to by disconnecting the negative battery terminal. Worth a try. https://oards.com/service-advancetrac-ford/

    2023 RWD Build

Welcome. You may not need the AWR brace as some new deliveries are coming with the extra bolt in the rear end. Have fun.
