I’m curious… I mostly use Google Maps from the phone. The rationalization is that Google probably keeps the mapping data updated. For those of you using the Ford navigation instead, why?

I managed to get the Sync update by WiFi yesterday. After it finished updating and displayed the current version number, it began downloading what must have been a giant file. No idea what that was because it hasn’t begun downloading again and the map is still the old version.

Mine will apparently only connect to 2.4.

I was doing another drill while my wife got to play with that at the Performance Experience. Me, I’m scared to death to even try letting this beast park itself.

Isn’t “auto park” part of the recall? It’s just a firmware update at the dealership.

To those of you that have managed to install the update…have you noticed any changes that justify the agony?

Our 2004 GMC Envoy did that and we found it useful. Maybe the addition of a rear camera and sensors makes Ford believe this isn’t necessary.

Our ‘21 ST had a sticker of $58,230. I’d have gladly paid 1% more for the silly parts they ”decontented”. I think this is quite shortsighted of Ford. The profit on that additional $580 would have been amazing.

Ford just now announced they are sitting on 40-45,000 finished vehicles they can’t deliver for lack of parts. They say they hope to deliver most of them in Q4.

Might have been jammed up when the railroads were preparing for strikes?
