    Buying a used ST

Welcome! Make sure you get a pre-purchase inspection to weed out any abnormalities not visible to the eye. I bought a 2020 at 61k miles last year and now have it to 70k with no problems. Smooth and tight as a drum!

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Picked up the ST after installing the Stage 5 CRPs and DPs. Waiting for the base map tune so I can drive it.

    ZFG Launch Strategy

Ahhh, ok! You had me goin' for a minute! lol Man, I wish I could find some E fuel closer to me but it's all not the same anyway. 52-83% is what they're all reading and I don't have time to do an E check every time I fill up. That's why I'm taking the alternative and going with turbos. Every day...

    Good clean humor and jokes

What do you call a dog with no legs? It doesn't matter ... it's not gonna come anyway.

    Good clean humor and jokes

I was going to say a hot dog but ... this works. ;)

    Sync

Well, downloaded 23188 and after 3 days, I encountered the same problem. Turned the USB music clear off and when I came back from the store, the radio cranked on startup.

    Sync

Oh ok, thanks. Personally, I'd like to try to stick with Sync for navigation because Android Auto interferes with calls and vice versa for me.

You've actually loaded Google maps into Sync and not your phone?

Dealer oil change and ZFG Tune

What trans fluid did they replace yours with? I was going to have the dealership do mine and they said they were going to replace with LV instead of ULV. The manual strictly says ULV only and I'm surprised Ford even mentioned the LV.

Ohhhh, you cheat! lol I'll have to check into one of those or the like.

Did a USB install on Build 23188. So far, so good but hadn't really gone through the paces yet. Hmmm ... I wonder if the free update is still out there. Beats the going price!

    ZFG Launch Strategy

Interesting and will have to try this! Are you getting your trans temp readings from a standalone gauge or reading the dash display? I know there's a trans temp gauge that comes up in the Tow mode but hadn't seen one in Sport mode.

Thanks again! Do you think it's worth it to spend $109 to update navigation maps? There's been a couple occasions where Sync didn't recognize addresses that I searched for.

Do they have some discreet version or has there been problems using the Sync update feature? Which Ford site?

    Sync

Thanks hbalek! I'm set for automatic updates. So, it won't update to 23188 unless you ask it to?

Hi All, Just a quick question: Why is it that when I turn my sound system off, the next time I start the vehicle up, the radio's blasting? In the first place, I rarely listen to the radio and almost always have a music compilation USB flash drive jamming the songs I like. Up until recently, the...

    Lethal Performance Mid Pipes Installation

Wish I had a lift, I would have saved some $$. The tech that did mine told me that the rear connection comes up a bit short but the rest fitted ok. Didn't need to expand the pipe. I'm connecting to a stock cat back so maybe that's the difference. He also advised purchasing new clamps with your...

    Lethal Performance Mid Pipes Installation

I did see a couple tutorials on the DP installs. In both cases, they had to lower the front subframe and the transmission mount brace to create ample space to get the driver's side DP bolts. The passenger side is a little more spacious.
