    S&B or K&N CAI

From what has been mentioned, you'll run out of turbo before you reach a bottleneck with the stock CAI. Same with stock exhaust because it will hold 700HP. I purchased the S&B because of looks and quiet. Only reason I acquired one is because an aftermarket CAI was highly recommended by the...

    Good clean humor and jokes

Treat each day as your last. One day you'll be right.

At least you're not alone in hearing things. ;)

I'll have to try and find that. Thanks!

What the flock man! I've had 2 repair shops take an extended look and came up with nothing. We're better off fixing our own vehicles. Wish I had a lift. Good luck with yours!

Yes, I had mine installed professionally because I didn't have the garage to do it myself. I def know how long of a process it entails. The clunk I hear comes from underneath the passenger side, closer to the front suspension.

Unfortunately, it's called planned obsolescence! No dealer wants a car that will last a lifetime without serious repair work ... at "any" cost.

You're getting that low speed passenger side clunk too? I thought it may be something that my mechanic left loose when he installed turbos and downpipes. He had to drop the subframe for that. If you find what that is, please inform us and I will do the same if I track my clunk down.

    Voltage/battery management issue

These guys sound like a bad joke! If anyone should ascertain the proper starter for this vehicle, it should be the stealership! I would also make a case that the coolant tube broke when the Explorer was in "their" possession. That 10 day ETA better be because of a backorder. No way the repair...

    Trans. dip stick

    Cool, thanks!

    Trans. dip stick

I guess you can just swap the hoses to use it to fill with oil? Or can it be done electronically by a reverse switch?

    Voltage/battery management issue

They're all a bunch of ripoffs! Every time I even go "near" a ford stealership it hurts. The answers they give you and their total ineptness to the mechanics of their own product is an insult to your intelligence! "I" could get a tech job there and outclass their mechanics on the first day...

    Voltage/battery management issue

Had to do the neutral thingy too when my starter went. :)

    Voltage/battery management issue

Personally, I would connect your jumper vehicle and let it charge for 5 minutes and start it if it will on Thurs night. Then drop it off and call service in the morning and tell them it starts with a proper battery boost and delay replacing the battery until they diag the problem. No sense in...

    Voltage/battery management issue

Daggone, if your battery is still measuring 12.4v at static condition and the stealership has more than adequate starting equipment, I don't see how they need to replace the battery just to get it started! They, as usual, want in your pocket before they even start. If it is indeed the starter or...

    Voltage/battery management issue

One quick question: When you swapped the batteries, did you do it via jumper cables or did you actually put the vehicle clamps on the batteries? Depending on your jumper cable connections, I've never concluded that jumpers transfer the full current as opposed to a direct connect to the vehicle...

    Voltage/battery management issue

Being as I suspect the starter in the Explorer, I would try the reverse and jumper the Explorer battery to the Mustang in an attempt to start the V8. I think that would better rule out the battery with a successful start if I am correct. I would be assuming that the Mustang has a sound starting...

    Voltage/battery management issue

My guess would be the starter. You mentioned that the battery was showing good voltage at draw according to your tests and the battery distributor's testing. These starters are prone to overwork failure especially because of the start/stop feature which I think is a ploy for stealership repair...

    Transmission Fluid Level Check

Good luck! Some of these stealerships don't know as much as you do! I've lost faith in their abilities and what they charge for what they don't know.
