What power level does traction become an issue?

Yes to both. I don't have a trans brake and do try to keep up maintenance. So far, it's been pretty tight. (crossing fingers) Abusive driving is kept to a minimum. Spirited driving consumes only 20% drive time.

What power level does traction become an issue?

Def makes more sense ... but I can forget about having a "reputable transmission shop" in my area. I couldn't even get half the places I called to check the trans fluid level. Getting the parts before hand sounds key. I would still bring it to Level 10 in NJ as they would have experience in...

What power level does traction become an issue?

With the mods I have, I would lean more towards 550-575hp on 93. If I put ethanol in it, ZFG predicts 625-650 to the wheels. Was thinking of getting a used 10R60 and sending it to a rebuild company then keep it on standby.

What power level does traction become an issue?

Well right off the bat, I wouldn't consider the mods I've done as treating the trans right. lol The only thing I can attest to treating this one right is keeping the fluid clean by exchange and as Adam from ZFG recommended, keeping it slightly over full. His tune programming will do the rest...

What power level does traction become an issue?

I've seen the like as far as building the trans. I have fairly good power but I don't track it or do many launches at all. Mostly just punch on the go. Do you think the trans will hold up under my driving conditions or should I consider a rebuild?

    ST Freakin' Out?

I'll have to check that next time out. Thought I had the latest. I updated it just this past summer.

    ST Freakin' Out?

No, hadn't done a cold boot yet. Wanted to get some feedback before I did anything. Will consider, thanks!

    ST Freakin' Out?

Hey All, Just ran into a series of ST computer problems yesterday. First off, when I made a request for a contact on my phone, it got stuck on the "loading contacts". At that point in the trip, they should already have been loaded. I had to make the call from my phone. The display showed the...

What power level does traction become an issue?

That will differ by case. Suspension, tires, tune, weight etc will all be factors. I barely spin, if at all. That's with running 93 DMS tune, IC, DP's, CAI, Stage 5 CRP Turbos etc. Might attest some of that to the fact that I have 300lbs of equipment on board and sticky tires. It's my guess...

    Rude Awakening On Rims Today!

I know right? I had to take the front, side windows tint off to pass inspection. They weren't that dark at all! I have no disrespect for law enforcement either but we have no justice system. Ask me how I know that. Ok, I'm going back on topic.

    Rude Awakening On Rims Today!

Thanks. Right?!? And the kicker is, it's illegal. Law enforcement has done nothing to stop them and that's why it's so prevalent. It used to be a secondary offense and was changed to a primary but for what?

    Key Fob Question

I agree with hbalek's stats. I live in the same town.

    Rude Awakening On Rims Today!

I'm glad to hear she's doing ok! Hope she gets to full recovery quickly! Texting and driving is one of my biggest peeves! I've been run clear off the road 3 times by them. One time it was by a semi on a 65mph highway. I was blessed that there was a break in the guard rail exactly where I was...

    S&B or K&N CAI

Yes, a little difference in performance but more critically, will give better turbo longevity. Because the larger wheel needs a bit more air, the stock intake will cause it to spin faster to create the boost it's asked for. With the upgraded CAI, it can create the same boost at a lower turbo...

    Tuning

DPs and exhaust won't give you much more ooomph. DPs are rated to give 20-25 more HP which you won't feel much with the butt dyno. 3" exhaust will probably be louder but again, the stock system will hold 700HP so it's not a bottleneck unless you're pushing more than that. It will help however if...

    Tuning

A 93 DMS tune is also good for up to E30 so you don't have to change tunes there. Only if you go up to E50 or E85 do you have to reflash.
