    BMS Battery Management System

Why do you want to disable the battery management? It's not like it affects performance in any way and if it helps you get a little more life out of your battery it's a win win.

    BMS Battery Management System

You need a scan tool that is capable. I'm not familiar with all that is out there as I have the factory Ford tooling. The system can not reset itself no matter how smart it is.

    BMS Battery Management System

It actually does more than shut down systems so you have juice to start. It monitors the charging system over time and determines the appropriate voltages to charge the battery taking the battery's age and temperature into consideration. It is important on these vehicles if you jump start or...

    Inst cluster display

Ford really dropped the ball on this one then. On my Ram on the display between the speedo and tach you can choose what information to display and where to display it at, was actually one of the nicer instrument clusters I've had in a vehicle.

    Inst cluster display

Is there anyway to have the Instrument cluster display the Sport setup when in other drive modes?

    2020 vs 2021 used ST

The 2020 ST was made 9/19. The 2020 Platinum was made 1/2020 and my ST has a build date of 11/2020. My ST has a 4 bolt rear diff, I don't know when they changed to the 3 bolt.

    2020 vs 2021 used ST

I test drove a 2020 Platinum with 32,000 miles on it and a 2020 ST with 16,000 miles on. They both felt loose in the suspension department and the interior, especially the dash and the top of the door panels, on both of them were very poor materials and the fit was horrible. I looked at a 2021...

Is the interior REALLY that bad??

So let me start by saying I did buy an ST. As I said earlier I initially drove a 2020 ST and also a Platinum. The ST suspension was obviously firmer as it should be but it felt loose...if that makes sense. The Platinum did ride better but the suspension still felt loose. I know I said the...

Is the interior REALLY that bad??

So I just got done test driving an ST and also a Platinum. Hate to say it but I can't deal with the interior. The 2 biggest issues for me were the cardboard dash and the door panels. Neither one had any squeaks or rattles and everything fit together well but I just wouldn't be able to deal with...

    Real world mpg

I know what ya mean. When I drive the wifes car I can't help but to get after it...someones gotta do it!!

    Real world mpg

Under what conditions? 14 mpg seems a bit low for a vehicle of this kind when driven "normally".

    Real world mpg

Thx for the input everyone. MPG will not be the deciding factor if I decide to purchase an ST or not but it is nice to know that the possibility of more mpg vs my Ram is there.

    Real world mpg

What are real world mpg numbers for the ST?. I'm not talking about when you are having fun with the skinny pedal but more so when you are driving normal. I have to treat my Ram like I'm trying to take off on ice in order to acheive the whopping 14 mpg (hand calculated on a stock truck) that I...

Is the interior REALLY that bad??

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm not going to dwell on the interior that much as I don't think it is going to be a deciding factor.

    Potential ST owner

I had a 2017 Ram 2500 with the Cummins before getting the 1500 last year...that was a big change.

Is the interior REALLY that bad??

I'm considering purchasing an ST. Haven't actually sat in one yet but I'm not new to the Ford world. It has been my experience that the Ford interiors sometimes leave little to be desired in regards to materials and fit. The biggest complaints about the ST seem to be the interior materials and...

    Potential ST owner

Joining the forum to do a little research and ask some questions. Currently own a 2021 Ram 1500. Love the truck but don't honestly need it so I'm looking to get into something different.
