    Installation shop Charlotte?

Welp I went all out and even got a ZFG tune so I'm in up to my neck. Taking a gamble big time, but wow the ST is a beast now. So much fun to drive.

    Livernois vs ZFG

Can't compare others, but did just complete my ZFG tune process. It was super easy with their app and module. Hardest part was finding an empty straight road to data log on, especially with the Thermal exhaust and downpipes not being very "stealth" lol. Crazy happy with how the tune came out...

Diff oil early change on new vehicle?

Did the rear diff lube change at 900 miles. I'm glad I did. Magnets had collected some particles and the fluid had a grayish color to it already. When pouring could see the trails of gray .. what I believe is metal particulates the magnets didn't pick up. Glad I got that out with an early...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Did rear diff lube change to some Amsoil 75W-110 gear lube. Then installed the Steeda Rear diff brace. Such a nice looking beefy piece. I'm sure it does its job well. Install wasn't the most fun thing in the world threading the little blocks that get slipped up into the subframe. Now that I have...

    Smell during WOT, I’m concerned…

I noticed the WOT smell during my wot runs for datalogging for my tune. At first I thought I broke something but then just figured it was stuff getting hot AF and is normal after driving for some time and everything was a-ok.

    Break in period …..

About 1K miles now on mine. Already upgraded and working with ZFG on tunes. My plan was to "wait a few years", then "wait till like 10K miles", then "F it I wanna play now". Plus doing a bunch of research that modern vehicles after a few hundred miles have all that they need in terms of "break...

    Need Help Fast About Towing!

Maybe instead of fancy PCM covers, the aftermarket guys should make a PCM cooling fan!

    Blown Transmission

So they are blaming the down-pipes causing heat melting a tube? Crap , just had downpipes installed, maybe I should have had them wrapped. Did you take any preventative measures after your ordeal?

    New owner woes

Good to invest in even an inexpensive code reader. Even better a laptop, proper cable, and Forscan software. Otherwise you are pretty blind when it comes to knowing if the vehicle is aware of a problem itself. Very rare a simple fluid change will "fix" something, but it sounds like it needs to...

Diff oil early change on new vehicle?

Greetings folks. Curious of folk's take on diff oil early change for its first change on a new vehicle. I always do an engine oil change around the first 800-1000 miles for good measure. Cheap and easy to do. Now I'm thinking about the diffs, especially the rear. Seems some folks have had to...

    Steeda Subframe bushings

I'm about to install the Steeda diff brace, now I'm just a tad nervous if it may cause a problem when the whole reason I'm doing it is to avoid one!

    Catch Can Contents

I put my catch can on week one. Changed oil at 850miles. Catch can had about a tablespoon or so in it. More than I thought I'd find to be honest after only 850 miles. I guess thats normal. I'll check again after a few thousand more miles to see how its accumulating. I'm pretty happy with the...

Ford's Plan for Fixing Quality - CEO Reponds

The way I see it is you have your dealership problems of them not doing the proper diligence and checks on new vehicles they get from the manufacturer and of course service quality. Then you have the actual mechanical physical quality of the vehicles (on Ford). As for dealerships, I don't think...

Disable Auto Start/Stop on 2025 Explorer ST

You think they made it unhackable on 25 or do you think the setting has been moved or changed?

Disable Auto Start/Stop on 2025 Explorer ST

I just used Forscan to disable the auto/start stop , no dongle needed.

    Warranty-Safe Performance Mods

24' here and already did downpipes, exhaust, IC, and have ZFG tuner on the way. I was on the fence and was going to wait a few years. I even purchased the extended warranty. Decided on the IC right off the bat and figured how can they deny warranty providing the engine with safer air intake...

    Rear End Failure

I find it hard I find it hard to believe stock power is destroying the ptu and diff so quickly even on replacements. Something else has to be going on. Driveshaft would be suspect , possibly bent, misaligned, causing damaging vibrations etc.

    Rear End Failure

It is my understanding that the transfer case and differential are not indicated for routine maintenance (fluid changes). Do you suspect the "forever fluid" being as the culprit, quality , or design issue? I plan on changing fluids at 30K intervals like I used to do my subarus.

    Catch Can Contents

I know its cheesy but AI created this list of potential causes for high crankcase pressure. Of course if that is what is actually going on here, seems plausible to force oil up and out of the PCV that way, but of course verify. Worn piston rings or cylinder walls: As engine components...
