I have just received spd downpipes only and was wondering how you got them attached to the thermal midpipes in the exhaust kit. Did you need to use a 3" to 2.5 reducer to go from dp to midpipe?

Does anyone know if spd down pipes will fit a stock exhaust without their mid pipes? I got a used set for what I thought was a good deal til only the dp arrived.

I was under the impression that on e50 there would be some gains with a pump and injectors without turbos, but you're saying that without turbos there wouldn't be any benefit?

The splash guard under the vehicle is held on with some poorly designed plastic nuts they should be replaced with stainless steel locknuts. A lot of owners also experience a wind/whistle noise which I have not seen a remedy for yet but would love to know if anyone found the trick for that.

They sell it with black tips or you could paint the stainless steel ones black. Also the tips come off no need for cutting/welding if you dont want to paint you could buy new.

2.5 vs 3 is just for sound difference apparently the system is just as efficient in flow either way.

I personally havent heard that one in person but have seen others on here get rid of that set up for the thermal. I think the thermal is "only" like 300 more on lethal performance. But I also know plenty of people are happy with the mbrp. To each their own, personally I enjoy my setup which is...

x pipe does not get rid of mufflers it goes in place of the resonator, mufflers are on the end with the exhaust tips coming out. Would not recommend just chopping the mufflers off. Also 4.0 vs a 3.0tt makes a lot of difference

I have an xpipe and valvetronic mufflers I have no drone. I will be installing spd down pipes once they get here but cant speak to if there is drone or not with them yet...

Recently heard a few good things about PBD however the consensus here is that ZFG is the way to go. I had my mind set on ZFG but after speaking to an owner of a PBD tuned st and seeing his results im now debating again.

Got a call last week that the TC came in was supposed to pick up my st today and told me the got the new one in but the shuddering problem is still there and may have gotten a bad one from the factory or there is some other problem. Wonder how long that'll take.
