Adding “Walk Away Lock” feature for 2025+ Ford Explorers (with Audible Feedback)

My wife's Honda CRV does this. Every time she takes my car she assumes mine does as well since it has way more bells and whistles than her car. I often just go into the app and randomly lock the doors when I know she has the car. Wish i could see if this could be done on my '23.

Fullscreen Android Auto/CarPlay Mod Is Here for Sync3 10P Screen!! [FMods Team 10 Pees]

I actually really like this screen layout since doing the mod. It's just more usable and I actually like using WAZE in portrait mode. It's only slow when i use the wireless carplay dongle, so really I decide on wired vs wireless based on what I think i'll be doing. Had a coworker who had an...

    Adaptive CC

One thing I do try to do is that if a car is entering my lane ahead of me is to nudge the nose of my vehicle over towards the side they are entering from to get the sensors to read their vehicle as quickly as possible. I don't know if that ultimately does anything, but what I want to try and...

    Adaptive CC

I use ACC almost exclusively in stop-and-go. In fact, that particular aspect of the feature is one of the reasons I made sure to get a vehicle that had it. I probably sit in 20 miles of stop and go traffic each day. Probably thousands of miles using the feature now in traffic. I've never...

    Activate used FOB with Forescan?

You don't need ForScan. (nor is it possible to use ForScan anyway) This method works below once you have two programmed keys in hand. You can program a 3rd and 4th key this way up to 4 max How to program Ford Explorer (6th Gen) key fob yourself without additional / special tools I would...

Anyone running a full standalone ecu?

I run a Megasquirt MS3 in one of my Mustangs, but I'm no help with regards to the Explorer. However this sort of topic interests me so i'm here for any potential responses. With that said, I really haven't seen anyone running a standalone on one of these.

How-To: Swap Bench 2nd row to Captains Chairs with Console

Just to update my own question, this is what I ended up doing. 4 bolts and you can remove the center bench. The tricky part is removing the trim covering the bolts, and getting at the front two bolts. It can be done with the side seats in without too much fuss and the right combo of tools...

Tinting gone wrong, elsewhere - need help

Agree. They messed it up. Don’t overthink it or go out of your way here. Have a dealer get you a quote on part only or part plus repair and hand it to the shop and see if they want to pay out of pocket or go thru THEIR insurance.

Tinting gone wrong, elsewhere - need help

I've pulled many door panels in my day. It's actually a very easy task to do, especially on a Ford. They make these panels pretty assembly-line friendly so it's mostly 1 piece. That area is molded, so a repair some be extremely difficult if not impossible. The red and blue stitching is the...

    Dash cluster

Unfortunately the gauge cluster has not been hacked in any way that allows for customization. You are limited to what is setup in the various modes, so to get a round dial tach will require switching to one of the other modes that has that tach.

2026 Ford Explorer Replaces Vista Roof With Fixed Glass Option

Coming into fall in New England. Perfect 70-80 degree days. If I’m not driving my Mustang convertible with the top down, I have the sunroof open on the ST as long as it’s not raining. Once winter hits, I usually pop it up, even with the heat on. my start routine is usually engine start...

    Removing second row seats

I also removed the middle seat from my bench. You have to remove the seat belt receiver from the middle seat and plug it into the harness. I did this and just taped it up and tucked it under one of the side seats with a zip tie. That will get rid of the warnings. It's not hard. T50 torx for...

    removing 2nd row seats

I removed the seatbelt from my middle seat. Had to snake the wire out of it but it was the only way. You cannot jump the harness connector. Won’t work and may damage ECU. not aware of there being airbags in the 2nd row. My guess is the wiring you are seeing for the two outer seats is for the...

    Climate Domain

Wondering if anyone has info on the Fmods file needed to make this function work. I searched and very little on this subject. It’s a fairly useless screen, but kinda like the idea of enabling it. when you enable it in ForScan (Climate Domain in the APIM) , it looks like this This video...
