    New vibration

Thank you for letting me know your 2025 is hard in sport. I’m still trying to figure out was is normal lol. Hoping this thing will stay out of the shop for a while now

    New vibration

Update: I picked up my rig yesterday and the new transmission is smooth. Extended warranty covered everything…good thing ($8000). I was expecting a transmission re-learn period, but damn what a difference. I still have some questions about what 10r60 version I got and programming. The build...

    Sun Roof Fabric Issue

I only occasionally use the vent feature as well. It would be cool if a prevention fix existed, but the parts are so buried.

    Sun Roof Fabric Issue

Is there a way of preventing this from happening other than not use the moon roof? It’s a nice feature, but not worth using if this eventually happens. If you’re not a frequent moon roof user, should you keep the shade closed or rolled back? I keep mine closed, but can the tension let go...

    New vibration

Update: A different tech drove my ST and confirmed the shifting is not normal. It’s been at the dealer a week and counting for a new transmission install. Turns out the 10r60 is very problematic. The newer ones from 2024 to present are better. CDF drum failure due to bad design. If you have an...

    New vibration

Update I guess: I got my ST back today after it sat in the dealer’s queue for 4 days before a tech looked at it. Can’t really narrow down the problem, but it exists. “ Might just be the way these are” he said. He did drive it and supposedly had it on a lift to inspect the exhaust. Didn’t check...

22 ST Drone Sound During Deceleration

That’s so cool. Thank you and happy New Year with new pipes!

22 ST Drone Sound During Deceleration

That’s great! Thanks for sharing this update. I believe my issue is also exhaust. Please let me know what system you went with. This is most likely in my future.

22 ST Drone Sound During Deceleration

Agreed. Back to the dealer on the 6th and I’ll be pushing for a good look at everything. Thanks for the input

22 ST Drone Sound During Deceleration

I’m not sure when the last alignment was. I’ve had the vehicle 4 months. This issue is either more drivetrain problems or an exhaust system problem. It’s getting worse by the day. Now when I shift from reverse to drive it jumps into gear. Low speed driving I’m getting abrupt upshifts in the...

22 ST Drone Sound During Deceleration

I also have a 22 ST that I just purchased with 57K. My issue is a vibration when decelerating off the throttle. It’s a wave of sound/vibration. I just had the rear driveshaft replaced under warranty and it helped a little, but not fixed. It feels like exhaust, but it’s hard to pinpoint. A shift...

    low droning sound 25-45mph

Mine shakes and vibrates as well. Ongoing issue. If I could lemon law mine, I would. Unfortunately I bought used. I’ve been a Ford owner my whole life and I’m disappointed with the ST.

    2025 ST vibration

My 22 ST. Vibrates as well and I’ve been chasing the issue since I bought it used 3k miles ago. It’s now out of factory warranty at 60k. New rear driveshaft helped a little. It’s vibrates through the cabin on deceleration. Exhaust? drivetrain? Mounts? Fake exhaust note? Not tires or balance...

    New vibration

Thanks for the input! I’ll read through and determine what aligns with my issue. It really feels like exhaust, but could be any random drivetrain issue as well. I’ve put 3k on this used explorer and can’t believe how wacky this transmission is. Dealer says it’s normal. If this is normal shame on...

    New vibration

2022 ST. Just over 60k miles I have a new deceleration vibration occurring. It’s felt throughout the entire cabin. I let off the gas coming to a stop and a wave of vibration happens. I’m not sure if it’s drivetrain or exhaust. When I shift into neutral it goes away. I just had a new rear...

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Thanks Sugar, Solid advice. I’ll have to find a tire shop that does road force balancing. These big rims can bend. I’ve run into that issue before. Good education for me with this driveshaft. It was causing the whole cabin to vibrate and mess with my ears.

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

I’d say the driveshaft took care of 95% of the vibration issues. My rig being 3 years old with almost 60k, it’s not going to run like new. I’m still thinking about turning off the fake engine noise and I’m sure a new set of rubber would help too. Overall huge improvement and taking into account...

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Update: The rear driveshaft was a large part of the vibration problem. It was replaced yesterday and my rig runs way smoother. Calm drivetrain the way it should be. I have a good ford dealer that was willing to help me out. I appreciate the input on this post!

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Yeah I agree. My 2015 sport had a 6 speed that just worked. This 10 speed jumps around a little too often. Sport mode shifting is ridiculous. The downshifts are rather hard. Dealer says that’s normal.

    40-55 mph pulse vibration

Thanks for your input. My previous car was a 2015 Edge sport and I loved it! Quick, quiet/smooth and hardly any issues. Traded it in at 120k for this Explorer ST. I’ve wanted one for years. I’m trying to stay positive, but a couple months in, the cool new toy rush has worn off. The build...
