Did the horsepower change on the 3.0L

I remember reading that the F150 Ecoboost and Powerboost were getting gasoline particulate filters... I wonder if the Explorer is next in line for that treatment and this HP reduction info is a result of that?

    Rear differential brace

I have an AWR diff brace on my ST and my dealership took care of a clicking/popping noise coming from the rear with a replacement of both axles. No issues. However, my dealership tends to be mod friendly unless it causes the issue

    ST Damage discussions

Its been a moment since I have been under the car but I believe the transmission breather is located on the top of the trans towards the bell housing. As for the front and rear diffs, I also believe they are near the top. I dont remember the vent location on the xfer case

    Steeda Or ZFGR Tuning.

Had a Steeda Tune for my Mustang GT. It was a vast improvement over stock but I wouldnt say it was to the level of some of the other tuners (Especially those who review logs, work with you through revisions, and dial in your tune). My ST has had tunes from Unleashed, Livernois, and now ZFG. All...

    Captain chairs rattle

Had a similar issue on my wife's ST. Turned out to be a faulty weld on the passenger side captains chair. Dealer ended up replacing the frame of the chair and inspecting the others. They had it for 3 days.

    Tune adaptation

I've tested multiple tunes across our STs (Unleashed, Livernois, and ZFG)... all were instant changes. Transmission adaptations / learning took a bit of time.

2025 ST . 1st oil change at 1k miles. What oil and filter do you all recommend?

Stick with a Full Syn oil that meets Fords WSS-M2C961-A1 spec. I agree with Gearhead that there are several great oil brands that will do the job. I usually stick to the Motorcraft filters but I have used Mobil1 and K&N filters without issue. I have been much more concerned with the interval...

Catch Can and Oil Change Interval Question

Oil dilution is a real thing but your exact interval can be determined by a ton of factors (driving conditions, oil used, tune, etc...) I tend to shoot for the 3k-4k range for changes on both of our STs. You could always sent an oil sample out for testing if you want to try and narrow it down...

    Windshield washer tank leaking

Both of our 23 STs are the same story... I never see anything leaking but they are never full for very long. I've never had another vehicle with the same issue

    ZFG 91 on E30 Vs E50?

Agreed. It would be emergency only. ZFG actually has a page on their site the walk through their allowable fuels: FUEL TYPES - Actual Page Our tunes support one fuel type each. Fuel type options are as follows: Auto-Octane: All Pump Gas (87-93, up to e30) 91 Octane: 91+ Octane (91-93, up to...

    ZFG 91 on E30 Vs E50?

The most safe answer is to never run less than you're tuned for. 93 shouldn't run 91 or 87, E50 shouldn't run E30 or 93, etc... unless you have a flex fuel tune. If you have a specific question, reach out to your tuner.

    2025 Ford Explorer Seats Issue

We have 2 STs, one with the massaging seats and one without. You definitely feel the difference in the seats (I like the non better). I have also noticed that sometimes the massaging seats don't quite "reset" when your done using that feature and you can feel the mechanism in the seat... it does...

Welcome to the forum! There is a ton of info available around bars, lowering springs, end links, and alignments.

    Oil Change

Im a fan of the early change as well. I changed both our STs at ~1k miles and have changed them every 6 months since (we don't clear enough miles). Use a good full syn oil and filter every time. Oil changes are cheap insurance... especially if you like to push your vehicle at all. At some point...

    Steel City Mods?

I have the CVFab intercooler on both of our STs. They are fantastic. No complaints.

What color is our coolant ?

I have a couple gallons of the Peak Yellow for "North American Vehicles" in the garage. Its my go to for when I need to replace coolant. I believe it meats the Ford WSS-M97B57-A1 spec and can be found on sale for like $15-20 at the parts stores near me.

2023 Explorer ST Exhaust stutters on Startup

Mine has done that from the beginning even before my Thermal 3in install. However, I did notice it lessen quite a bit when I added a weep hole at the lowest point of each muffler. A surprising amount of water/condensation comes out on a regular basis.

Single bolt diff brace, cold weather driveline vibrations

I didnt notice any additional NVH with the brace. If anything, its a bit more smooth... especially when shifting between park/drive/reverse

Single bolt diff brace, cold weather driveline vibrations

We have 2 STs, one with a single bolt (mine) and one with a two bolt (my wifes). I tend to notice more vibration on mine but almost all of it can be accounted for by sources other than drive line (under car trays, shields, etc...) but I went the AWR route for the diff brace. In my opinion, its...

    WTB Thermal Midpipe clamps

I dont have anything available. However, I have used the evil energy 3in stainless butt band (~$20) and narrow band clamps (~$18 for a two pack) from Amazon with good success. I tend to stay away from the U-Bolt type clamps as I've had mixed results. As Unbroken mentioned, you might be able to...
