JROS (Jury-Rigged O'Reilly Special) Resonator Delete

Engines needing back pressure (2 strokes are different) ranks right up there with "Horsepower is good, but torque wins races"! My Dad who worked at Oldsmobile all his life still swears that he witnessed a "red" carburetor that made 100 mpg. Of course, it was quickly quashed by "Big Oil".

JROS (Jury-Rigged O'Reilly Special) Resonator Delete

And the advice that "engines don't prefer to run as 2 separate banks." is based on what?

are new orders now only '22s

Most likely due to the chip shortage, Ford is paying you to be patient while still being able to book revenue.

    Yes, they will fit.

Ford Performance Parts for 2020 Explorer ST

First of all, any product that advertises +15 or +20% fuel economy is absolute BS! Perhaps, just perhaps, for that money you're getting some electrical dohickey, but when their marketing materials advertise something that isn't possibly true, then caveat emptor. If you're that willing to part...

Racing Brake is in the game.

So, does this mean they are now supplying braided lines which also have the right "tangs" in place for the calipers? Also, for the rear, are these replacement calipers, or just brackets that relocate the existing calipers to fit the bigger rotors?

Sport Mode and adding horse power

I'm wondering....does your tune stop the off throttle transmission braking in sports mode? I ask this because you claim sport mode is not affecting highway cruising. Perhaps the area you're in doesn't have hills, but in my "hilly" area, sports mode on the highway is definitely a detriment to...

    Why stop at two? ;)

Sport Mode and adding horse power

You can keep it in Sports mode all you want. You will get lower gas mileage. As far as more horsepower, that's supplied by a "tune". Browse the various threads to learn more.

Anyone else getting crazy good mpg?

I write down mileage and gallons every fill up (an old habit). I totally realize that due to vapor etc, one has to average this over time, but averages would suggest that the trip computer gas mileage does seem to be a bit optimistic.

Request - Would someone please video a downpipe installation

Were I living in California, I wouldn't be showing off my catless downpipes with pics. Just a word to the wise.

    3rd Best Power Modification

How much do you weigh?????? Car and Driver lists a Ford Fusion Sport AWD at 4128 lbs.

    3rd Best Power Modification

Let me just add this: The 3.0 platform is a very well engineered setup. The very fact that a good tuner can put a 4700 lb SUV into the 12s completey stock is amazing!

    3rd Best Power Modification

The wastegate duty cycle on an internally gated turbine is not indicative of potential airflow.

    3rd Best Power Modification

The turbos were already maxed out at approx 100 extra HP or about 10 lbs air/minute . Running ethanol or meth can add more hp but doesn't add any more mass airflow.

    3rd Best Power Modification

After that, you're out of easy "bang for the buck stuff". Sure, you can do an air filter, a CAI, etc. But your big restrictions now are the turbos.

    3rd Best Power Modification

You asked for a 3rd mod after tune and intercooler and mentioned alternative fuels. My assumption is a first tune on gasoline that could be 91 octane, 93 octane, etc. If you're willing to play with alternative fuels, you can add another tune for e50 (or just tune for e50 to start). Beyond e50...

    3rd Best Power Modification

Best bang for the buck after tune and intercooler would be an e50 tune. Worth about 3/10s according to those who have done it. Forget throttle bodies- more boost will more than compensate for that. Once you get in the 11s, turbos are the impediment after that.

    Downpipes Upgrade, Worth it?

The truth is no one knows exactly how much the downpipes are worth. The best info is from @UNBROKEN at 2/10s, but as I understand it, he did those and exhaust without testing in between. I've posted before that the stock exhaust does not pose any significant restriction to 500 or more HP. This...
