NEW Product Alert! The AWR Racing rear diff mount

The main bolt and the 2 diff bolts from the brace work in conjunction with each in taking stress, not separately from each other. Put another way, the main bolt is no longer taking all the load by itself.

NEW Product Alert! The AWR Racing rear diff mount

Awesome, thanks.(y) Maybe put out a short vid that has your tech walking through the job. Well, it's two cover bolts, better than nothing. And if no drilling is involved, you could always take it off before heading to the dealer if you have any related problems.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

I'm reading that as the "involved components" are what is the problem, and the PCM E-brake flash is the "fix" for retail vehicles.

    2022 Ford Explorer Platinum ST

Correct. I did a quick inventory search on Dodge's website for the Durango SRT 392 and every one was ~$80k on dealer's lots. Maybe a 1/2 sec quicker acceleration time is worth an additional $20k-$30k to some people, but not to me. Everything about the ST is what I was looking for, and my current...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

No one here is questioning your sincerity GJ. But the Zone Manager's statement to you openly contradicts FORD's actual stated remedy in the recall.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Yup, it's right there. PCM E-brake software update ...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

So you don't believe what every single news outlet is reporting - that the recall for retail vehicles only involves the E-brake?

    2022 Ford Explorer Platinum ST

2021 Durango Hellcat base price (not sold in 2022) = $80,995 2022 Durango SRT 392 base price = $68,195 2022 Explorer ST base price = $48,245 That's a huge difference, to say the least. Sure, Durango 392 requires the least amount of modifications, but it also costs a whopping $20k more. Get a...

Yup, I want to see vids as well.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Unfortunately, that is correct. The same goes for rear diff braces, unless we have the one that doesn't require drilling and remove it. Still, FORD's data reports a 0.1% breakage rate so the odds of not snapping a bolt are incredibly good.

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

FORD's build dates of effected vehicles seems to encompass each full model year since the redesigned Explorer was produced (2020/2021/2022). Still, FORD's official tally of ~250 breaks out of 250,000 remains an incredibly low 0.1%...

Yes, both you and bigcat are correct.

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

I was not aware that every person's dealer had to contact them personally about the recall.

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

I'm not responsible for non-votes, just those that actually took the time to participate. Regardless, this poll points to an extremely small number of breaks, paralleling FORD's confirmed statistical data (except our poll reads too high a % of breaks).

Poll: How many have experienced a "rear axle bolt fracture" (POLL CLOSED 6-4-22)

That number is 100% arbitrary! You obviously never studied logic. There are concepts of reason that dictate subjective "formulas" can err to no obvious conclusion. Same goes for your use of "estimates." The whole thing, balderdash. Logically speaking ...
