There are too many on here that treat their opinions as facts, it's pretty damn annoying

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

This past weekend I spent about 3 hours updating all of the modules in my ST, 13 modules total.

    FDRS for module updates

I'm not entirely certain OTA updates have been coming through for the F-150's yet either, aside from APIM and GWM updates, though I could be wrong

    Lethal Performance / Introduction

You won't hear any shit from me for the Edge ST. I have had two Edge Sports and those things are a blast to drive. I was looking at an Edge ST back in August to replace my Edge Sport, but just couldn't find on that I didn't feel like I was "settling" on and ended up with a 22 F-150 instead. My...

    FDRS for module updates

The "up to date" status has more to do with whether or not the Ford "mothership" has pushed the updates to your vehicle or not. Both my Explorer and my F150 kept telling me they were up to date, even though neither of them were. Also, only certain modules can be updated OTA. Most of the updates...

    FDRS for module updates

I did have to re-initialize the windows after updating the DDM and PDM because the auto-up wouldn't work. After updating the ACM, GWM, and RGTM, I had to let the vehicle shutdown completely (let it sit for 10-15 mins with the ignition off) to allow the updates to fully install. I didn't do a...

    FDRS for module updates

I updated 13 of 14 modules yesterday in about 2.5 hours. My F-150 had 5 modules updates and it took almost 7 hours. The updates are very easy to perform. I didn't notice any differences in any of the equipment, but maybe that is the intent? The only module I didn't update was the AWD module...

    Sync 3 map update

I'm in the same boat as you, no noticeable difference, at least not yet

    Ford Performance Tune

Geez, what is their hourly rate? Even at $200/hr they're still overcharging you... Or they're getting their dumbest tech to install it

    FDRS for module updates

Ford has had so many issues with OTA updates, I am not worried about FDRS becoming obsolete any time soon. Not only that, but many of these updates take too long for the battery to maintain charge while the update is installing.

    FDRS for module updates

@Cdubya pretty much nailed it. You aren't purchasing the software, only "renting" it with a license. You shouldn't need more than a 2 day license ($50) unless you run into some hardcore issues. I was thinking about a 1 month subscription ($200) to do both my F150 and my Explorer, but I would...

    FDRS for module updates

Anyone can do it, it isn't exactly cheap to get started, but anyone with a laptop and about $700 can do it apparently. If you REALLY serious about it, I can send you some links to an F-150 forum with a lot more details on how to do it. I took my Explorer in for trans issues back in July/August...

    FDRS for module updates

Yea, I have never used it before, so of course there is a little bit of the fear of the unknown. On the F-150 forums, there is a user that quite literally seems to know more about Ford electronics than even the Ford engineers, so he is an excellent resource in the event there is an issue with...

    FDRS for module updates

Has anyone here every used FDRS to update the various modules in their explorer? This is a REALLY big thing that F-150 owners are doing. I have an Explorer and an F-150. I plan to do all of the module updates myself, but was hoping to see if there is any experience on here with Explorers

    Ford Performance Tune

Warranties aren't ever wholesale voided (I'm sure someone will come behind me and give a one-off, 3rd hand story about a warranty being voided), basically they (FORD) can make the claim that your aftermarket part or modification is what caused the issue and that one issue simply won't be covered...

    Goodbye SS, Hello ST!

To be fair, I wasn't trying to trivialize or minimize your situation, I just believe this is great information for people to know because this type of traction loss doesn't occur strictly on the racetrack, and I believe it can help people be more knowledgeable drivers. I am glad you're ok and...

    Goodbye SS, Hello ST!

possibly, but he said he let his foot off of the gas and the ass end kicked out. I doubt that only his rear end hydroplaned

    Ford Performance Tune

You are absolutely correct, but it is still the marketing department, and it is run by humans, many of which aren't "car people" much less enthusiasts. Trust me when I say that FOMOCO is not as much of a well-oiled machine as some like to believe.

    Parts shortages

How many options were deleted? Hopefully not too many. My ST is a 2020 so I got it before all of the parts shortages REALLY hit. I also got a January built 2022 F150 Lariat that was delivered in September, so I avoided a couple price hikes AND feature deletes. Lucky me I guess
