    2023 Refresh?

My 2020 has only 6,600 miles on it and I may be getting a new BMW M4 which I would then sell the ST. The ST hasn’t had to go back for anything and looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Sits in the garage most of the time (I have a company vehicle). Super clean and zero problems. The...

    Engine Failure @ 2k miles - Resolved

I’m with you on pushing for a buyback. I’m not a lawyer either and I also don’t think this qualifies for Lemon Law. I had a heater problem with my first ‘20 ST and after driving it only 200 miles, found out I had no heater. They had to remove the entire front of the interior; complete dash and...

So torn..... Black or Star White ST?

You are right in that black looks great….but more so when clean. I’ve had black cars but with my OCD, it’s not a good idea for me. So what did my wife talk me into? A new black BMW. But it’s metallic black with a very high quality paint job. Those two things make it much more forgiving. I’ve...

Cold engine, loud "tick" - Turbo rattle?

Check your exhaust flex pipes; one on each side. Mine does it until it’s fully warmed up but it’s more of a rattle than a tick. I got under it and it is for sure the left side on mine. Ford’s fix is a big hose clamp.

    Just ordered a 22 ST - 1st Ford!

My 2020 ST was my first new Ford purchase too. GM guy all my life; Tahoe’s Camaro's, Sierra, Silverado, Corvette’s and more. This ST has been flawless since day one; never brought it to service for anything since I do my own maintenance. I’ve had company vehicles including Fords and that’s why I...

    Smoking on startup after sitting

That’s a Diesel in the video. Diesel’s operate completely different than gas. One major difference is that they have no manifold vacuum to pull the gasses from the crankcase as in gasoline engines.

    Oil catch cans

You’ll still need to clean the intake even with a catch can. Catch cans don’t get all the oil out of the crankcase vapor. I’ve looked and asked for documentation of two like engines, one using a catch can and one without and never got an answer. I believe in them and that’s why I have a UPR can...

    1/4” Hub-centric spacers

I was considering these but I’m not so sure about wheel spacers. They mess with the suspension geometry as well as adding stress to the wheel bearings. They do add to the cool factor though.

    Smoking on startup after sitting

It sort of looks like condensation burning off within the exhaust system (steam) as when the ambient temperature cools down after shutting down the engine. On the other hand, it sort of looks like oil smoke (white/blue) which indicates a valve guide issue as when sitting for a while after shut...

Transforming a 2021 exterior into the police interceptor

Why do you want your ST to look like an unmarked cop car? Wannabe? I used to think it was funny when people slowed down as I approached them but now I find it irritating as hell.
