aFe Intake -vs- Whipple Intercooler -vs- Downpipe

That was a small run, all were replaced and there have been no ongoing issues. I’ve had SPD DP’s in for probably a year and 20K+ miles with zero issues.

Focal, Mosconi, Illusion and Helix build

I forgot the ground. It’s a unibody car so I went straight through the floor pan. Ground the paint off on both sides, star washer under the lug and bolted in tight with a 10mm bolt and nylock nut with fender washers on the bottom side and sealed after with silicone.

Running cables today. Fitting 0ga power and three runs of 12ga speaker wire was a little tight on the passenger side but everything fit inside the OEM channels and under the 3rd row seat to aim at the amp rack.

Just normal plastic snap in grommets. I drilled them with a step bit.

I don’t think many people would be interested when they saw the cost. lol

Oem trim panel drilled and snap grommets in place for the wiring. I’ll add some butyl around the back of those so they don’t make any noise.

Today’s progress. Put carpet on the top of the enclosure only just to decouple the trim panels a bit. The magnets still hold them just fine. Got the enclosure bolted in using the oem hole for the Jack and spare but it wasn’t solid enough for my liking so I went through the floor pan with another...

aFe Intake -vs- Whipple Intercooler -vs- Downpipe

the difference is body size and cell count. FenFab uses a smaller 300 cell cat that may or may not need defoulers installed. No big deal for most people. SPD uses a larger 400 cell cat that won’t need anything.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

Just take the clips off and lift up the plastic cover. Kind of a pain but not horrible.

    I didn’t want polypropylene.

Nah…XS Power takes care of me.

New battery on the way. XS Power D4800. Tomorrow I’ll wrap all the panels and finally have a look at “finished product”. Sunday I start pulling wires.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

XS Power D4800 on the way to replace the stock battery. I think the oem 220amp alternator should suffice for now.

2022 Ford Explorer Adds the ST's 400-HP V-6 to More Trims

I prefer digs…RWD would be useless to me with this thing.

All custom made for that car. I doubt you’ll find them for sale anywhere.

Got the tweeters ready today. I wanted to add caps for back-up protection…didn’t even have to figure it out myself…looked up the formula on Google and found a video a guy made using these exact TKMX tweeters…so I copied. They’re 15uF 100V Electrolytic Non-Polarized Crossover Capacitor’s. And...

2022 Ford Explorer Adds the ST's 400-HP V-6 to More Trims

Cool…now go start your own thread about it since it has absolutely nothing to do with this topic.

Factory 20" ST Wheel +Tire Weight vs 22" Wheel Tire Weight

OD is roughly the same but the weight of the wheel hoop is further out. You still get most of the unsprung weight benefits like you mention with handling and such but the acceleration benefits aren’t as great. I went through the same thing…78.8lb 21’s to 63.3lb 22’s…and not I’ve added run flat...
