    Novice wheel question…

Your posts are condescending at best. I can post wheels I like as well…but let’s keep it to what we actually own or have owned. You said you build high end trucks…let’s see one or 2. I love seeing nice builds. Are you actually doing high end builds or just talking about things you like?

    Novice wheel question…

I love the “levels” game…let’s play it. Post up your best truck…I like trucks. It’ll be fun.

    Novice wheel question…

Those are some of the best wheel builders out there. You’re acting like they’re WalMart shit or something. I’ve owned things like HRE and Forgeline…BC Forged is on part with them for fit and finish. ADV.1 is one of the best in the game. Post up what you think is better…or better yet what you...

Is there a way to see the turbo boost level?

You won’t find much of anything cleaner than a P3 vent gauge…I used their universal part and cut it to fit myself. Unfortunately phone service is so bad where I’m sitting I can’t upload a pic but there’s plenty on www.P3 cars.com

    Novice wheel question…

Those wheels use carbon fiber barrels…they hardly fit into what the op is asking about and aren’t representative of forged aluminum wheel pricing.

    Novice wheel question…

I’ve owned 10-15 sets of forged wheels…only 1 time did I pay close to $10K but I just HAD to have those wheels. See the above post.

    Novice wheel question…

BC Forged, ADV.1, Velgen Forged, SuperForged….all wheels of the highest quality that can be had for $4-6K for a set of 22” wheels made to your specs.

    Novice wheel question…

A good set of wheels for these is definitely not $8-10K. Not even close.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

There’s nothing about that that will be built by Ford as a 2023 model. Can you please stop posting it in this thread as well? It has nothing to do with what someone did to their ST today. Forum etiquette exists for a reason.

    Novice wheel question…

Lighter is always better. The less unsprung weight you have the better the feel and handling will be. Unfortunately that means forged or flow-forged. Cast wheels will always be much heavier. Compare tire weights as well. As an example Nitto tires like the 420 tend to run as much as 5-6lbs...

    pelotonracer2's build

The Lexani sidewall looks rounded because it’s a narrow tire stretched onto a wide wheel…not because the sidewall “bubbles”. The Michelin looks square because the measured tread width is wider so the tire isn’t stretched. That’s what drives the overall width when you factor in sidewall bulge...

    pelotonracer2's build

No, they aren’t. They aren’t even close. The MPSS is the widest of the 305/35’s. Pirellis are a close second. Lexani and Lionhart aren’t even close. I’ve owned them all except the MPSS…on the same wheels…on this car.

    pelotonracer2's build

Some, not all. Put a Michelin Pilot Super Sport on it and report back. As I stated earlier…that Arturo “305” likely measures out to a 285/295 at most.
  15. UNBROKEN

    pelotonracer2's build

All of the “Chinese” brands run super narrow. Arturo, Lionheart and Lexani for sure. Pirelli and Michelin run closer to true width if not even a little wider. Any tire with some sidewall bulge on a +38 11” wheel will likely be problematic when it come to the front struts. I’m sure you’ve seen...

    pelotonracer2's build

That’s the same car in both pics and that’s a very very narrow running 305. I won’t clog up this build thread anymore but I’ll say be very careful and specific with an 11” wheel and 305 tire. Backspacing and tire width will make or break it.

    pelotonracer2's build

It’s 100% dependent on the backspacing of the wheel and anything flush will be scary close to the strut up front. What others are running that combo? I haven’t seen anyone at all.

It’s the spacer, not the protrusion. Most shops won’t deal with spacers for legal reasons their lawyers invented.

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build

I did it just to add some looks under the hood…I highly doubt I’ll be doing any comparisons with all the audio weight it carry’s around now. There’s others showing some nice improvements though for sure. Adams data comparisons to the stock intake are actually impressive and it outflows the...

    UNBROKEN’s Iconic Silver ST build
