What don't you like about your ST?

Trouble is you may be able to see into next year but on coming traffic can't see shit. Makes me want to put a high output light bar on my pickup so I can give it right back but then it will be my fault when they crash. Eventually laws will be made and hopefully enforced to stop this trend of...

What don't you like about your ST?

Really? Any brighter and you won't need high beams. I was impressed with the lights.

    I just don't know thread

I have been watching the wheel screen and noticed the front are powered quite often unless your just cruising. Even at 80 mph if you get on the gas the front wheels will get some power.

FENG - Fake Engine Noise Generator DELETE

O I have no desire to upgrade anything, the Explorer is just a car the wife runs around town in and we road trip in. I don't even do anything to my pickup's but I have been running stock company rigs in the woods for 20 years and know a stock pickup will go just about everywhere or do anything...

FENG - Fake Engine Noise Generator DELETE

I wonder about this fake noise deal because the car does sound decent from the outside and no the windows were closed.

    JACK POINTS

So a Ford dealer damages the plastic because there hoist isn't set up right to lift a Ford vehicle? They would be replacing the plastic every time on my vehicle, it's not my problem that Ford made it this way or the Ford shop doesn't figure out a way to lift the vehicle with out doing damage...

    Perellli tire rotation

Anymore if you take the vehicle to a tire shop that's worth a darn they measure the tread depth on each tire and rotate to match up like tread depth tires on the same axle.

    Driver’s window & voltages

My battery drain experience comes from a 60 vehicle fleet of Chev, Ford and Ram pickups along with a few Jeeps and Explorers mixed in as well as a few misc sedans. Over the last 20 years Ford's will always be dead before the rest. Currently I have about 30 battery chargers in inventory so I can...

    Driver’s window & voltages

I will also say that Ford's are the worst for parasitic power draws when parked and Chevy's aren't much better. If I let a Ford or Chev set a month the battery won't start the vehicle and at 2 months the battery is trash due to having every bit of energy drained. Ram pickups can set for months...

    Driver’s window & voltages

A battery at 11.2 volts is dead and probably wouldn't start the vehicle so my guess is the component measuring the voltage is faulty. Easy to check if you have a multi meter. Drawing a 12 volt battery down to 12.2 and lower on a regular bases isn't good for it especially if it sets uncharged, a...

    I just don't know thread

I just don't get covering up these reflectors or tinting turn signals but maybe one has to be broke down on the side of a narrow road one dark as hell raining night hoping that no one rear ends them. Have a power issue were the lights don't work and you want as much shinny stuff on the back of...

    Trail Hitch Area Cover

So are you trying to say that this installs in the trailer hitch receiver?

    Gear shift/drive mode aluminum cover

EBay has these covers in red and blue that fit the gear selector, mode selector and light knob. I think the light knob is the same size as the radio knobs so one could do them as well.

Final mod complete on wife's ST.

Tonight I received the last part to mod the wife's ST. First was a clear bra to increase aero dynamic, probably added 10 mph to top end. Second was an anti slip mat on the center console lid to keep items from sliding around. Can't have a phone or sunglasses sliding around shifting the weight...

    Universal Garage/Gate Buttons

Well sure there a security risk but they have been around for 50 years so it's not like the sky is falling all of a sudden because there built into the visor. Cars have had built in buttons or storage areas for years.

    Universal Garage/Gate Buttons

Or they just use the remote that's clipped to the visor in cars that don't have it built in. This reminds me of the worry when GPS systems came out, crooks were going to get your home address and run right over because no one would be home. Garage remotes have been hanging from car visors for 50...

    Towing limitations for boat

I can't help with the actual towing since I haven't towed anything with the ST and most likely never will. Only thing I have that the ST could tow is a 5 x 10 utility trailer everything else needs a bit bigger vehicle.

    Towing limitations for boat

To be legal and safe stay withing the manufacturers weight rating. It doesn't matter how much the vehicle can pull it matters how much weight it can stop in a safe manner. Not saying your wife can't do it but why push the limits and put her and anyone else in the vehicle at risk? I've towed big...

    Cleaning Front Grill

I tried my leaf blower, didn't think it worked very good at all. Maybe my blower needs a super charger?

    WeatherTech BumpStep

Sure if you back into something just perfect the step might save your bumper but why would you want that bumper step sticking out the back of the explorer for a big what if. Not to mention it would look ridicules having a step on a vehicle that sets 8 inches off the ground. Plus you'll be...
